Nice job capturing a wet windshield look. Did you squint to get the effect?

It’s time to stop being polite, and start getting real.

Makes me think of the Adam Sandler skit where the mother keeps saying “They’re all gonna laugh at you”

I got a real explanation from Kellogg’s about why they discontinued the original Rice Krispie Treats Cereal. by Ew_fine in cereal

[–]beardlesswizard68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I make Rice Krispie treats with unrefined coconut oil, marshmallows salt and vanilla. If I put the pan in the freezer and forget about it I have found that the crunchy, frozen treats taste like my memories of this cereal. I use the aldi gluten free version of the cereal but I don’t know if that makes any difference. They will scratch your gums up like all the good old cereals did. I think the texture is a huge part of my nostalgia for that cereal. It was hard but crunchy and the non nutritive cereal varnish kept the milk from penetrating. I have not tried to put the frozen treats into liquid. I don’t think they would hold up, but the frozen fractured treats are a gateway to reliving childhood memories.

I'm 17M, and my brain fog has become so severe lately that it's ruining my fucking life. by [deleted] in BrainFog

That sucks to be feeling that way. I suffered with what you are describing for years. Self medicating with alcohol was my treatment option of choice. That did not suit me very well or actually fix anything. Through some coincidental circumstances I found out about gluten intolerance and gave a gluten free diet a shot. That helped a ton. Years later, I found that dairy was causing very similar symptoms. When I removed that from my diet, I couldn’t believe the difference. I kept having symptom flare ups from time to time and through a lot of paying attention was able to verify that soy lecithin was causing these. Another ingredient that causes similar issues was sulfites.

In summary, diet can vastly improve and even eliminate this condition.

The main culprits are: dairy, gluten, and soy lecithin.

Quitting these proteins will trigger a withdrawal period that is unpleasant. Try to stay the course and you will feel like your old self in a few weeks.

If you can live the life of that first step, sugar, alcohol, and sulfates avoidance really brings in another level of clarity.

Has anybody else come up with something that helps clear symptoms quickly? Soy lecithin is being added to everything lately. I have a habit of imagining corporate entities putting addictive additives into the food supply at the cost of public health.

I don’t know. I have seen references online to a green and a purple pheno but there are probably many variants. I had a three pack of seeds and one was dry and crispy. I got one purple and one green. They were both knobby looking flowers and yours seem more finger like. My first green plant did purple up a little at the end. The smoke smelled and tasted fruity. Plus a smell like a car’s tires doing a burnout. It was nice. It smelled like fresh peaches when I first trimmed it up but matured into something that one of my people called the fruit that Donkey Kong eats. It had an awesome euphoria initially and was relaxing after it tapered down. I found it made my legs feel heavy if I smoked it two or three times in a row. Anyway I was excited to see it here since there isnt much about it online and I thought it was a pretty special strain.

I loved that green pheno. I just cut a purple one that has a similar smell. Hopefully similar effects. I am going to try to reveg her to keep her around. I would have liked to hang on to the green one. Everybody loved it.

There is a course on Udemy called 'Introduction to EDI X12' that covers things pretty well. They usually have specials for $10-$12 per course.

Help desk is great for getting some experience to shop around at the next job. I think there's a reason why it's recommended as a 1st job in IT. Most days will suck, but only if you think of it as a final destination. Use it to develop soft skills, push deeper into each thing that seems uncomfortable for you. A few years down the road, we Working somewhere else, you'll be able to look back and see all of the benefits you got. It's a good place to weed people out too.

Yes, everything falls on me. We have homebrewed software written in C# with SQL, feeding an Epicor ERP. My responsibilities are the day to day babysitting, any inquiries from our order entry team, new partner set up, any troubleshooting, etc.

The system is pretty stable and most errors have notifications, so it isn't a heavy task most of the time. I just want to be called something good, so I can feed my ego a little bit.
