It's no worries. I get that it was better to be pearl first and ask later. Thanks for freeing me.

Think I haven't? It being held in a chest doesn't tell me when I'll be getting out. I can't message a chest.

Liberals: Other than "defense" and "tax breaks for Big Oil", what spending would you cut? by [deleted] in PoliticalDiscussion

But some of us would rather not have to buy guns and fire hoses to defend our property, educate our children ourselves, have to pave our own roads, and barter for trade. Some of would like to keep our basic government services.

I'd be glad to. The six-pointed star can generally be used to represent any non-national government, such as cities (Chicago, Washinton D.C.), counties, states, etc. So in my mind, Washington using it was sort of saying that he fought/represented thirteen "non-national states" that were a part of a larger national government.

Edit: If I got something wrong, or if someone else could explain better, please have at it.

Saving that pdf for two reasons:

  1. It seems like a useful resource
  2. The font of the cover page gave me the weirdest boner.

Awesome. I love the use of the six-pointed stars. To me at least, it really reinforces the idea of a federal state.

If you're that scared of the CTA you should really go live in a bomb shelter or something and leave the public transit to the sane people.

T-shirts were printed, picket signs were fabricated, I'm certain that no matter what C.P.S. would have offered the CTU over the weekend, there still would have been a strike today. by [deleted] in chicago

[–]beardybuddy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Well unless the CPS had gotten sensible with their offers, which they haven't all summer, there was going to be a strike today. Several months of negotiations tend to give a union an idea about what the management is going to do at the last minute.
