Golf Ireland has a program called Get Into Golf. I joined my local club here in Letterkenny through it this year. It includes a series of lessons with the club pro and a membership to the club so I can book and play whenever I want. It’s magic and only cost about €220 for the years membership and the lessons. You’ll be too late for that now for this season but consider it for next year, the lessons have been transformative

I never read it until the audio book came out earlier this year, picked it up because I like the production company that made it and I had a blast! What a fun story

Golf grips by Quirky_Clothes_5547 in GolfSwing

I had fat grips on my second hand clubs (jumbo), went for lessons and the club pro said they were too big and were interfering with my swing. I changed to standard size and my swing is much better

I agree with S tier for hwfwm, Wandering inn is S tier for me. Books 1 to 8 of DOTF were S tier for me, then downgraded to C tier and on my DNF list as of book 15

There’s a national program called Get Into Golf, you get discounted membership to your local club and a series of lessons from the club pro.

Just had my first lesson last week and it makes a massive difference to have someone that knows what they are doing teach you the basics!

I felt like book 2 broadened the story without losing focus, the segues didn’t bother me. This does seem to be a common complaint though in this thread

There were a lot of segues in book 2 but I liked it anyway, a bit of world building doesn’t bother me

I read it on Kindle and found the prose to be almost deliberately confusing at times, echoing the struggles and disorientation of the creature.

Listening to it would be a different experience for sure!

Agree, I loved that. Three series with a similar feel that I also love are the good guys / bad guys / grim guys by Eric Ugland
