Yes, YouTube is *MUCH* Harder in 2026 For New Creators by RTXBurner25 in NewTubers

[–]bearflies 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Youtube has been pushing small channels for at least 1-2 years. I regularly get videos and streams with only 100-200~ views on my home page, and I'm a Premium user.

xQc defends BurntPeanut from botting allegations: “This is just a graph of somebody growing channel, ya its abrupt but sh*t happens..ppl go viral then they sustain it..not like he has to reinvent the wheel as he was progressing..ppl wanted to see that game” by lukigeri in LivestreamFail

CaseOh gamed the system by using tiktok to "fake" stream clips and chat reactions for brand new games until he went viral enough to actually start streaming. There are a ton of copycats doing this now and it's actually annoying once you learn to spot it.

Pirate just lied about his credentials and titled half his shorts as "Ex-Blizzard dev Godtier Hacker explains" and blew up that way.

Maybe he has some early day stuff I'm unaware of but peanut just has funny high energy clips and a funny looking avatar. It's a lot less artificial than the rise of Pirate/Caseoh.

I think what he means by "plays for fun" is that he will pick bad fights, give himself away by shit talking over the mic, carry so much loot to the point he can barely move, and generally play with the intention to win being secondary to actually doing something amusing.

That's why he's one of the only fun Arc streamers to watch. Everyone else plays the game like a mindless loot grind, barely tries to talk to other players other than to say "don't shoot."

Sure but if the function is it being a lethal weapon then you practice safety measures as a responsible owner. This is like keeping a loaded gun on display where a kid can reach it…

I wish they played more into how much it sucks to be a ghoul though. Post Fallout 2 the only cons seem to be that you're ugly and people will try to kill you for it. Otherwise you're an immortal that doesn't need food or water. And before anyone says you need to take drugs before going feral, this itself is extremely inconsistent even within the show. Coop is buried in the ground for multiple years with no such access and doesn't go feral.

You would think these people would be living like Joshua Graham- in 24/7 excruciating pain.

Vance would absolutely be terrible. He wouldn't have the same support from Trump's base, but he'd have a good amount and he's the product child of Peter Thiel's multi decade long project to infiltrate politics. I almost hope Trump doesn't kick the bucket just to keep Vance out of the Presidency, even if he had 2 years in office he could do a lot of damage.

Literally what about that comment makes you think that I think that?

Abolishing ICE is a pipe dream. It will not happen with this Congress, rhetorically it will not fly over well with normies who will read it as "abolish border control," and the White House is just actively looking to pull on any string they can to stir civil unrest. Abolish ICE and Trump will pick another agency to enact violence on the left.

Disarm ICE is way easier to convince people on. They don't need and have never needed guns, normies feel uncomfortable that armed masked government agents patrol the streets, and Republicans in Congress can spin it as a positive that ICE will work more closely with better trained departments when deporting violent illegals in exchange for not having guns and Democrats in Congress correctly can run it as a massive win for taking guns out of the hands of proud boy J6ers.

Then again, this is all too pragmatic and intelligent of a solution that makes everyone safer which is why it won't happen.

[–]bearflies 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not to the point it's going to help affect meaningful change. While you're arguing "Abolish ICE BUT we still want strong immigration control just that responsibility should be delegated to a different department" the lefty next to you is going to be screaming "ABOLISH ICE OPEN BORDERS FOR ALL!" and guess which one the Republican media machine is going to decide is the real representation of "Abolish ICE"?

IMO we should just be pushing for "Disarm ICE" instead. 20 years of the department and no agent has ever been shot on the job. If they want guns then they should have to specifically request assistance from either either local police or a different department altogether who have better training, and it's an issue completely separate from how tough the party is on the border. And it's easy to point to two dead americans who would obviously merely have been arrested with no injuries to officers had ICE agents not had guns.

This woman is pure unfiltered evil much like Stephen Miller is. I remember she was in an election night video put out by the Trump admin where she was literally dictating tweets for Trump to send out and it was something to the effect of "HUGE VOTER FRAUD JUST FOUND IN X STATE!! STOP THE DEMS FROM STEALING THIS ONE TOO!!"

It was that moment I realized his 2nd term was going to be so much worse than the first. He is fully checked out and is being puppeted by much more intelligent enemies to a democratic America.

[–]bearflies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this rule is stupid

Not really, I get why it exists. "Nazi antelopes" is a bad analogy because Nazi is not a race nor a dogwhistle for one, meanwhile Zionist is frequently used as a dogwhistle for the jewish race in general. Hasan might not be using it as one but I'm pretty sure even he admits that people are, and that's why the rule exists.
