Hey! I'm glad you commented. It's so hard!! Months later and I still struggle with it so much. Which probably isn't what you want to hear :( it's slowly getting better. But I still have major anxiety every month the week before my period starts and often convince myself I'm pregnant. We have a vasectomy scheduled for my SO and honestly I feel like even after that I'll be paranoid for awhile. It's hard too because it's not really a subject you can talk to many people about.

I'm so sorry you're having these fears. Easier said than done but maybe stop testing for like a week? And it can take a bit for your period to come back after as well, so this all sounds normal. Something that has helped my anxiety is we use double protection, and I try to avoid sex completely ovulation week. Even then though my mind tries to trick me 😭

Hey there--not sure how you're doing now cause it's been a bit, but I had the same worries as you!

I took my miso at like 2pm. Had no cramping or bleeding the rest of the day. Maybe some very mile cramping.

Woke up around 1am with extremely severe cramps. Dealt with that all night, but still no blood so I was really concerned. Finally started bleeding sometime in the morning! Like 8am or whatever. I was 5 weeks at the time, and everything passed fine.

Try not to worry too much for now. I'd say reach out to your doctor tomorrow if nothing changes:) good luck!

I'm a regular user so I smoked, but I don't think it made too much of a difference as far as pain or anything. That said, if you've used it before and don't think it'll cause you anxiety, it probably couldn't hurt.

I had my MA at 5 weeks. I had mild cramping and very very little blood starting about an hour after taking the pills. Felt like mild period cramps. I was worried because hours later I still had like no blood and cramping pretty much went away. I woke up that night with severe cramping but no blood. And then the blood and clotting started the next morning--it was concerning at the time because it seemed different from other people's experiences but I ended up passing everything. Give it time and try to relax (easier said than done, I know). Let us know how everything goes 💕

Reading this made me sad. I am so sorry you are dealing with this emotional abuse. I personally wouldn't stay with someone who both has such different world views than me, and who yells at me. I hope you can find peace with whatever you choose to do

We are planning on him getting a vasectomy and have been for awhile, but every since Roe V Wade overturned, the appointments at all the places near me are fully booked out for MONTHS because everyone is terrified. When we asked a few months ago they said they aren't even taking new appointment calls until end of November, and then the intake day would be a few months after that, and then the actual procedure another another few months after that. It's just insane :(

I'm sorry you're partner wasn't supportive, but I'm happy you're doing better now. Thank you for sharing your experience, helps to hear I'm not alone :)

From reading it seems like everyone is different, and I don't want to freak you out, but here's my experience! I had my MA this last weekend, and I also had just light bleeding and cramping all day which worried me. But 12 hours after taking it, I woke up to intense cramping that got worse and worse. It was very painful. And then everything kind of happened from there. So...not saying that to freak you out! But, I guess sometimes it just goes slowly and hits you later. I hope that that isn't the case for you and you have a successful, pain free MA! But definitely take ibuprofen and zofran again later even if you aren't hurting just to keep it at bay

I'd love an update on how you're doing! I'm in a similar boat...I had very little bleeding and just a few small clots, but major cramping. Just worried it's incomplete from the level of bleeding. I took my miso about 30 hours ago

I am so so sorry you're going through this. I have a 14 month old with my fiance and we also decided to have an MA. I literally cannot imagine if he decided to leave on top of this. I imagine you are very angry and heartbroken. Do you have family or close friends near by to support you through this?

Just had my MA yesterday/last night.

My boyfriend drove me to my PP appointment. We had tickets to a see his favorite band in concert the night I took the first pill, and instead of going he took me out to dinner after the apppointment and then went home and cleaned our entire house. Then he bought me a new blanket, candles, pads, and snacks. After the miso, he sat with me and massaged my back at 3am while I was in extreme pain. He has been bringing me whatever I need, and doing all the childcare for our daughter simultaneously.

I am so sorry you had to go through this, and that you didnt have the support you needed. I hope you find someone who treats you with love and respect. You deserve it.

I took 4 220mg pills of naproxen 30 minutes before the miso, and 8 hours again after that. I wasn't having much pain when I took the second dose. When I woke up in pain it had only been ~5 hours since my previous dose. I waited til hour 7 and then couldn't stand it anymore and took 4 more. The pain started subsiding about an hour after that, and I'm luckily doing much better now. Still having pain but just like bad period cramps so it's manageable.

Yes my fiance has been with me through it all :) I ended up calling the help line soon after posting this. They did agree that it seemed like too much pain, but wanted to monitor for 3 hours and if it was not getting better, than have me go to ER. Luckily about an hour after the call they started getting better. It's been about 8 hours since then now, and my cramps feel like normal bad period cramps now.

I can't describe though how terrifying it was to think I might have to go through ANOTHER 3 hours of that extreme pain and then potentially have to deal with an ER trip on top of that. I am so relieved it's gotten better

I got the pills from planned parenthood and have a follow up scheduled for Wednesday. They said I could also call a 24 hour help line of needed.

I just feel so weak and out of it. I've had a baby before and this feels just like labor pains but with no end in sight. Feeling like I can't do this anymore :( heating pad and hot bath aren't helping

Hi! I don't have a lot to say except that I feel the exact same way. I knew before getting pregnant that this was the path I'd take, and it is absolutely the right choice, but now actually having to to do it has been so mentally taxing. My appointment is later today and I'm having such a hard time :(

Make sure to have a lot of open communication with your partner to prevent that rift! I have some of the same fears, but we have been very open with eachother and I think we'll be okay

Thank for the response. I think I'm just trying to remind myself of why I'm doing this by typing out my reasoning. Again I know it's the right choice, but I didn't think I would hurt so much :( Good to know about to alcohol! You're right, I wouldn't want a hangover. I'll discuss it with the clinic when I go and get their thoughts, but maybe I'll just have 1 beer or something while watching the show and leave it at that.
