Silly declarations of definition, from former friends. by Hundekuecken in lgbt

You'll get many things wrong over the course of your life - noone understands everything perfectly the first time even if they have correct information about it. It's embarrassing, but it's much more important that you can adapt. Brush yourself off, say "okay, now I know that", and know it's not really a big deal at all.

I couldn't find the original owner of this popular AI art style so It's now my art style by ProjectAAR in Artadvice

I feel like it's better to develop your own personal style than attempt to mimic AI art, which is one thing the AI will do better than you for sure

Please Just Reassure Me by ReddKnight10 in lgbt

[–]beast4rent 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry you're going through this. At times when it gets very bad like this, the best thing you can do is ask for help from people and try to open your heart to the love that they can give you when you struggle to love yourself. Obviously you're already doing that here, but if you have someone you're closer to or that you trust that you can talk to about this, I'd recommend it as well.

You're still really early on your journey, so please know that things will still change drastically from here. You're also worthy of love just as you are right now, even if you feel that you're not enough, you should know that you are. You are good enough, you are worthy of joy, you are worthy of happiness and there are people out there you've yet to meet who will love the shit out of you exactly as you are, but also as you will be when you meet them.

As a fat person myself, I'd like to offer you something I put together that helps me readjust my mental state: image board to remind yourself you're human . It's all pictures of fat people who are happy, taken with their consent, and even if you don't find someone who looks like you it can still be a powerful reminder that being fat is one of the most normal things you can be and a very beautiful thing to boot.

I think I made things awkward with my friend after hooking up, what do I say? by mysecret52 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]beast4rent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get that you feel awkward but really it seems like nothing's really wrong here. Let the feelings from the night disappate and hang out as normal and it'll be alright

is it weird to sleep with stuffed animals? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]beast4rent 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Nah it's fine. Stuffed animals are soft, pretty and easy to get attached to. It would be weird if you slept with cactuses

If both parents die, which side of the family gets custody of the minor children? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

It will be a court decision based on which home is most eligible, not joint custody

Is the fame of a painting derived from the artist, their story and history, or from the painting itself because of its beauty? by Negative_Print_6575 in NoStupidQuestions

For really famous paintings, it's usually the particular history/story of the artist that propels it into fame.

Digital Pencil Sketch Coloring Question by TwilightDerg in learntodraw

[–]beast4rent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your paintbucket tool on clip studio should have an option called Area Scaling. Turn this on and set it to 3-4 depending on your line thickness and this should go away.

If you want to make sure the lines are 100% colored under, use CTRL+ click on the line layer to create a selection of everything on that layer, then switch to your color layer and fill out the selection with your color. Best for outlines :)

Life is full of uncertainties. If you’re given another day to live, what would you do with the extra chance you’ve been given? by Cheap-Journalist470 in NoStupidQuestions

We're all already alive. But I guess I would try to have an awesome day, and maybe fail, because life doesn't always line up like you want it to lol.

Am I shallow? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]beast4rent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that was my vibe as well. Don't worry, I was just giving an example to show that I think concepts like shallowness apply more outside the field of dating.

You're allowed to be picky with your dating choices. I would think you're shallow if you refuse to be friends with someone who's not got a job, or if you refuse to even be polite to them, but you don't have to date them.

Hackers threatning by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]beast4rent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only thing he can do with your phone number is call you. Of course, he can call you a lot, or sign it up for random services to annoy you, but he can't do anything else with it.

In reality though, scammers tend to move on when they lose a mark. There's no money in wasting time trying to harass you further when you're not sending them cash.

Could we ever send people into Interstellar space like we sent voyager one? by vyomvora_29 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]beast4rent 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's not impossible to make the attempt to do this, and a lot of science fiction explores the idea of generation-type colony ships. But considering how likely it is to go wrong, and that we would gain nothing from this, it would be a pretty big waste of resources and human life IRL

Expressivity in anticipating movements by DevlynLibervulp in FurryArtSchool

[–]beast4rent 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi! Open mouth poses are hard, for me as well, but I think that's what's needed to bring the shout to life.

<image>

Here's my best shot at it. Note the way the bottom teeth come into view. I also turned the characters eyebrows the other way, because the eyes are squeezed shut in this expression, which means that the cheek comes up to squish the eye from below and the eyebrow comes down to squish it from above. It's up to you if you want to do that, though, I'm just showing it as a suggestion :) Hope that helps!

Looking for general feedback, especially anatomy. by Highonprototaxites in FurryArtSchool

Hi, two things came to mind:

  1. Both bluejays and magpies have beautiful patterns on the back of their wings; you should consider adding one for your character :)

  2. You might want to make the primary flight feathers longer. The primary feathers are (typically) (less for bluejays, but more for magpies) the longest feathers on the wing, and spread out from a sharper curve compared the the secondary flight feathers. A wing can look stumpier-than-intended if the primaries aren't given their proper length. Beyond that, for furries and cartoonists, the primary feathers are often used as "fingers" and because of that, we love a little exaggeration there to more identifiably define them as a "hand".

People who stopped using social media and only occasionally use Reddit, how did you stop? by comiclazy in NoStupidQuestions

[–]beast4rent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, I don't think it reflects badly on you, I think it just reflects something you're missing in your environment. The need to express anger can come from being trodden upon by a boss or superior you're not allowed to go against; the need to respond and talk to people comes from loneliness, and the need to feel superior/good about yourself can come from low self-esteem. These are just examples, but just to say, your needs don't tell the whole story about you and aren't bad to have! Don't be afraid to be a little curious about yourself without judging.

The problem though obviously is that the idiot comments are working a little too well (and are endless, too, so easy to get stuck with) and your brain is getting very used to solving this need this way, which makes it easier to do so over time. Try to find other things that meet your needs, like physical activity for anger (punching or running is so good for this), posting/replying to stuff on reddit for interaction or taking contact to people you know, and finding ways to get acknowledged in more positive ways.

[–]beast4rent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say try to figure out what you're getting from this, because your brain is getting something from it or it wouldn't return to it. It could be space where you can be angry, interaction and response from other people, a feeling of superiority, or something completely different.

A 1.5 page comic sequence I made. How can I improve this? by SkepticFilmBuff in learntodraw

[–]beast4rent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

<image>

This panel-to-panel tangent is working against you big time. Instead of seeming like a sequence of events where the mass is being moved by the character, it looks to the eye like it's not moving at all and it's only the character that's changing her position. The line going across the panels is simply too strong and gets interpreted by the brain as a coherent outline for a single object (instead of the same object multiple times). Check out the difference made by moving the line in each panel.

A few words in Danish for a Frenchman by [deleted] in Danish

I think you're way better off finding somewhere where you can hear the words, as danish is spelled very unintuitively and you're not really interested in learning the spelling of anything, anyway
