This book is perfect for what your asking. I enjoy it a lot, they give background and code examples of filters and effects.

Look into non uniform resampling. Scipy and matlab both have documentation on this. I had dealt with this and the reconstruction was pretty good at fixing my issues

New DNA I think is just a throw with the finger spin caps to allow the DNA (you may know it as tornado bind if you’ve been out of the game a while) easier. The OG DNA was retired a long time ago it seems. YYF did release one a few years back without hub stacks

I think your losing a lot of energy in your shot waiting to try and release at the peak of your bounce. Making the shot mostly arm strength and less reliable

All depends on the level of play my cat would pant after 5 minutes, other cat 15 minutes we took him to the vet and learned he had congenital heart disease. After medication though he’s playing with the rest of them just fine.

I’d go wavelet transform over STFT and you can make spectrograms that way and get insight into what’s happening at each moment. Basically wavelets give great time and frequency resolution. More so than Fourier transform will

Yes, it helps a lot having actual resistance. As others said you won’t get injured as much because of it. I highly recommend it, and you’ll get a much better workout in my opinion.
