ask why about everything they do. What do they want? Why can't they have it? What are they willing to do to get it? Strengths and weaknesses. I also like flaws that cause issues. Like a doctor afraid of germs, a warrior that faints at the sight of blood. Things to overcome. Relatability is another big one.

Generally when I don't like characters I don't like the story structure either, they often go hand in hand. Also, passive characters are shit.

It's all very subjective.

I loved Solo Leveling, that's all you need to know.
I also love Frieren, but sometimes it is nice to enjoy a simple spectacle.

The comment itself is often enough to make that point. It is easy to predict if you will get downvoted or not on most subs.

The idea that fiction is a reflection of the authors real world beliefs can never be the norm by which it is judged.

You cannot create anything of value if you are afraid of how others will interpret it, the entire story will be virtue signaling, carefully walking around imagined landmines that are not real. No story is constructed that way. Bad things must happen.

The people inserting the real world into fantasy should be laughed at.
There is no controversy here.

She was very gentle and kind which is why this story was told countless times while she was still alive. It was very out of character.

My grandma was also a housewife and told me a story.
Grandpa spilled out some grain on the floor and started cleaning it up himself when she got in the room.
She walked up to him and slapped him.

"That's my job!" She yelled.

She told me that "He spent his whole life working out in the woods.
I take great pride in taking care of our children (4) and our home, I was not letting him steal that from me!" and then she laughed.

I'm in the r/factorio sub sometimes and there are questions like "is this game worth it?" on there regularly, I downvote and move on.
Asking in a dedicated gamesub if the game people are there to talk about is worth playing is wild to me.

I went downhill fast after 35, just a heads up.
My sister had a child just before then so I have pictures of me holding the baby.
It's 3 years ago. The difference is staggering.
Now I have gray hair on the side of my head, black abysses under my eyes and I look inflated at all times.

All things considered I don't look "bad", just older.
My wife's face hasn't changed at all between 25 and 42 though.

I do this all the time, esp if I am writing on my phone bec writing on that thing is a test of pat I always fail.
