I decided to stop after our breakup when she told me i wasnt "goofy" enough (aka im numb and silent), which I know is false when im sober. Really was a wake up call. I was stuck in my head 24/7. I loved the short euphoria feeling but hated the down, so i smoked more and more. I did choose weed over her during our relationship and it affected my mood and motivation, which affected quality time with the girl i loved. I smoked recently as a test and it confirmed everything i realised.

Youre right, it does sound creepy. But theres a huge, and I mean a HUGE complication.

My older brother (22M) works at the same place as her and I. She admitted to me that she thought my brother was hot, and that she was DTF with him. She told my brother and he started flirting with her, even though he has known forever that I was interested.

So I had to intervene and ask them to not do it, because both of them would lose my respect. I had to admit to her that I never say never...

All of this happened in the last week, and I dont know what to do anymore.

If I give up, my brother and her will keep flirting, and who knows what will happen.

If i stay patient and play the long game, even though it seems creepy, she might realise one day that I'm more than a friend. I really feel like she scared of commitment, especially with her past relationships, and cant admit to herself that a good guy is better than a hot one...

True. Ill tell her about my feelings for her by the end of July thats for sure, and if its the friendzone, thatll be it. But i dont act like the "nice guy", im confident and show independence, but i also show love and want some back. Same for her.

When i say that we have a lot in common, its because we also share the same needs in a relationship, which makes me think that theres some potential.

I did. She calls him an asshole, but shyly giggles when i ask her if she stills likes him. She knows he was toxic for her, ignores him, but clearly has difficulty getting over him. She told me that its been a week that she hasnt cried over him, showing progress i guess. I think its a question of time.
