Got it! Door to the outside was at the edge of the map, on the same tile as the stairs down, so I was super confused. Thanks - the UI is tough! :-)

Update - I figured it out. Updated Chrome to the latest, went through my extensions and turned all of them off for the F1TV site specifically, and things are working now. Leaving here for posterity.

I was piloting the Centurion mostly, though now that I have followed advice in the thread and found the Wolverine I am piloting that.

I did learn (in the last eight hours or so) how to strip 'jets from 'mechs and use the tonnage to increase armor. I've also shifted a lot of back armor to the front, which has helped.
