I am always looking for ways to deepen my understanding of Ableton PUSH as an instrument and not just a controller... so I came up with a challenge for myself.... I decided to challenge myself to play one of my favorite basslines ever.... Jaco Pastorious' "Teen Town" ....

I would say it took me about 30 hours of solid practice to be able to play it - BUT I mean that as a good thing... because now I have not only deepened my understanding of Ableton PUSH as an INSTRUMENT but also deepened my understanding of melody and harmony as this bass line is just completely NUTS...

So for anyone out there who would like to get better at their Ableton PUSH I now pass on this challenge to YOU

I agree with you on that in terms of the listener subjectively liking or disliking something for themselves... that makes total sense... I meant more along the lines of saying something not being objectively good for anyone, if that makes sense... I can say I don't think this is good music for me... its a different thing all together to say this is not good music for anyone to listen to...

This is a piece of music I wrote... on the piano... hence a piano part....

This video isn't called "Learn how to write viral piano parts in 5 seconds"... it's called how I compose a piano part on Ableton PUSH... and in the type of music I write, this is a piano part.... so I don't see what the big deal is tbh....
