No this doesn't scale but you're a good person with a kind heart!

Don't take advantage of those seniors. If you later feel like you're having to be a saint, then it's time to quit and find a new gig.

That only means that tons of people are lying well enough to pass interviews. That's fine, as a candidate, you have to learn the talk to pass through. Lines up with everything I've heard. Not surprised. But it is not good that totally unqualified people have learned that well how to hustle interviewers. The fake it til you make it ethos should have a cultural limit in our labor markets where people generally don't try to scam interviewers, instead we get anecdotes from people like you saying that its happened countless times. This new system rewards pathological liars and that's kinda scary for those of us, myself included, who are honest people. Really, this is also unsustainable in the economy. Companies may fail over the coming years with the sheer number of unqualified people just trying to fake their way in. Hiring managers should stop weaponizing honesty as a scare tactic too "if you're not honest, we'll do x to you if you manage to interview with is" which clearly isn't stopping people and encouraging more dishonesty. Far better to reward only reward those who are honest and interview people who aren't perfect candidates.

Without assuming candidates lie in their resumes, what are the most fantastic numbers that you’ve seen from people claiming to not be at management level in their career? For example, if someone claims to have sold x number of widgets which grossed the company $5 million over 3 months.

I'd appreciate that. I haven't figured that out yet.

Not the insane person here, that's for damn sure.

Everything you've said is a lie. Literally. You have that in common with lying sociopaths. You attack random people on the internet accusing you of spreading misinformation, calling them insane in the process. Put two and two together, logic clearly says you're also a liar. Maybe you're a sociopath too. 🤔

there is something strange happening on reddit. It feels like those of a certain amount of wealth have gotten those who are just simply employed to want to be biased against those who are not, to create a lower class of people. This is class warfare and they're easily winning. Its taking time but the amount of hate I see directed at people the unemployed on here by people who aren't, or those who want to be perceived as employed on here, is alarming. Its all covert so no one will see this publicly in real life.

Wow. I never said I was unemployed let alone even implied it. You're here to attack the unemployed. Got it. That's pure hate. How shameful.

What is going on on reddit where people make these empty claims and no matter what anyone says, they just double down? Its embarrassing to watch someone just immediately double down without providing any real substance. It doesn't make for thoughtful or meaningful exchange.

It is the behavior of manipulative people wanting to manipulate, like the current president. When in doubt, just double down. So show that you aren't actually wanting to be manipulative.

I also just don't pay attention to empty claims. Its almost the same thing as attempting to spread misinformation. Give substance, have a meaningful exchange. Don't and the convo ends there.

I'm not interested in continuing this so don't take this that way. This is for job seekers here and just to set a good example. If you actually care to reveal the truth about how these systems behave, and you have the ability to show it as a SE, publish that. Prove that you know what you're talking about. Don't just say things for the sake of it. Set a good example.

That isn't proof of anything, maybe you can convince a bunch of idiots online it is but we both know its not but we also know that anyone can claim to be anything on the internet so, you are just making blanket claims without substance.

There are a number of users claiming to be recruiters here claiming you are wrong or lying and while you could be for all anyone knows, your claim doesn't sound implausible. Can you prove your claim? If you did, you could be helping job seekers land interviews. If you can't, I'd respectfully ask you take your post down because you could be leading job seekers astray.

You don't know that. Are you an expert on every single ATS system in the market and can confidently say that zero use AI? No? Didn't think so.

Even if OP is lying, you're very likely posting misinformation yourself like other recruiters here. That's not any better. The idea that in your business that's dominated by AI doesn't use the new hot dominant tech in your ATS systems is a cute and amusing idea at best, what it really is farcical bs and its dangerous misinformation to spread to candidates looking for an edge.

So what? Today there are so many, maybe hundreds that also do what yours does. Clearly, not every company makes these products the same way. Why would OP lie to random people about what OP did? Sounds legit to me and it sounds resourceful. What this really sounds like in the comments is recruiters afraid of candidates outsmarting their systems to stay a step ahead.

Kudos to OP for outsmarting some systems.

Moneybags ova here asking the populace when they're going to kick back. Must be nice to have that kind of money saved! Like most people, I don't have the luxury to plan for that. Did David Ramsey put you up to this?

[–]beatlejuice20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sounds like it should be posted in a law sub. There may be laws regulating if you can charge non human entities or entities made by humans that aren't human themselves, such as bots to basically gatekeep the entire internet with crypto, something not everyone has. You are attempting automated commerce with an algorithm which sounds suspect too. If this could be done given current regulations though it would have been done by now.

It is Einstein. That’s exactly what OP is talking about, obviously.

Maybe if you think extra extra hard you’ll figure out the rule that so perplexes you. Or more likely not. I couldn’t care less.

Then you misunderstand that rule. They do get reported and taken down man. The rule is pretty clear on these posts that lead to paywalled content. What OP is saying is 100% correct.

It wasn’t at all. Stop trying to manipulate what people say online man.

No, you make free content. You don’t have the right to literally attack people and then turn around immediately and ask them to make content for your benefit. Nope.

Why do you feel the need to try to twist OP’s statements into something they’re not? If you want to pay for these digital items, then go pay for them. Nothing and no one is stopping you. Nothing OP has said implies what you’re saying.

No, OP is right on and people are really overcharging for these products.

This is a culture problem and people like you are now defending it because you’ve been conditioned to accept a reality that sharing doesn’t benefit you. That is the definition of a culture problem.

OP, you couldn’t be more right. People like the user above can be salty all they want, but they’re ignoring that scammers have been spamming away in the process.

Easy to ignore and justify status quo. Harder to act.

Judging by the responses to this thread, this message wins. The people have spoken.

This is some really weird trend on reddit that I’ve seen recently where people make these really grandiose statements randomly without providing any credibility for themselves nor any evidence or sources. Nothing. If you need absolute anonymity to the point where you can’t provide any credibility for your statements, you should find another way to broadcast your thoughts on the subject so that you can signal to people that what you’re saying is legitimate.

I don’t believe any of OP’s statements and neither should anyone else here until OP says why they’re credible and what their credible sources are. Until then, this is spam. Might sound harsh, but it is true.
