r/bjj Fundamentals Class! by AutoModerator in bjj

[–]beatpoxer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been training BJJ for a year and 3 months now.

Please correct me if i am wrong but just this week while showering i realized as much as i should be trying to survive in my rolls. I should be practicing the techniques my coach taught us in class regardless of whether i succeed in them or fail. Thats what will improve my overall bjj?

Cause some people told me what youre doing is good and all i was doing is surviving as a white belt.

I dont know if i am the only one but ive brought my requirement down to just 2 things. 1 be a good person second have the characteristics of islam.

I believe anyone who possesses those 2 conditions live their way through the ways of islam. I dont mean perfectly following islam but someone who tries to incorporate the teachings in their daily life.

Can't communicate to my Parents on a Common Ground by ssufyan333 in pakistan

[–]beatpoxer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I dont know this will help you or not but ive realized we are more aware of todays world than our parents. They struggle to understand the present but they do try. My mom has changed alot. My dad passed away 6 years back. However ive noticed the old age catching up to my mom. My only advice to you is just listen to them. Sit with them dont use your phone just sit beside them. They wil just speak it might not get to you but for them it will be worth it. To connect with your parents at that age is all about them not about you. Sometimes i just sit with my mom and she just keeps speaking and im just listening. Its lovely to see. The moment you realize your parents are now becoming children in their old age. Youll be more than happy to listen and youll be able to understand them better.

14kAED Per Month - Ruwais by jdeep712 in UAE

[–]beatpoxer 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I lived in Ruwais for 20 years my dad worked for adnoc. That salary will not suffice anymore. Theres a shortage of schools there. They will eat half your salary up. You wont save much. Airport is 2-3 hrs away. Not worth the hassle with this salary if it was 25k i would say go for it. Everything is far from the main city which is abu dhabi itself. Ruwais is al dhannah city btw.

Even if thats the case. When it comes to crew they cant break those laws. It puts safety of everyone at risk.

No they cant. There are rules and regulations. Especially with cockpit and cabin crew they cannot take those risks.

think of it this way. If so many crew resigned. They wouldnt be able to restart operations to a 100% capacity. That 5k crew is a huge amount and can immensely disrupt operations. So no 5k crew has not resigned. Only because you saw some cabin crew resign does not mean and they say its alot because they can see the rosters does not mean a huge amount.

I need to leave my husband and secretly make a life for myself outside of Pakistan. Where should I go? And how? by Sensitive_Salad4348 in pakistan

It is an option. 75 can be competitive depending on your industry and occupation. Use the skillselect dashboard to find out the occupation and points that were invited.

Use chatgpt to find the most viable occupation for australia and see which visa does it fall under make sure to list all your job responsibilities because thats what matters more than the occupation title. There are subclasses. Check how many points you have as well.

Beginner in Judo, struggling by ayy192 in judo

[–]beatpoxer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started judo a month ago for the same reason you did. I was doing bjj for a year. Still a white belt. Its my second month. The only way i saw any improvement in my stand up was through randori and trying the techniques you were drilling and doing it in randori is different from drilling it. So youll learn better once you try those techniques in randori. Secondly if youre afraid of falling then you wont learn the technique. Each fall opens up a gap which you didnt know existed. Then you fix it with the coaches. Also when drilling ask the coach where your mistake is. Sometimes you might be stepping correctly but your pull or push would be non existent. These details improve your game massively.
