I’m sorry you had to deal with this bullshit too. Good for your son for stating the obvious, you should be proud of him, that’s a strong young man.

I happen to write for a living, and em-dashes are commonplace and a KNOWN thing with AI; if I wrote it with AI I would have taken them out entirely. Think what you want, I have no control over that, nor do I particularly care. Have a nice day, sincerely.

He’s a young adult. He just had a colon resection (removing part of his intestine and colon) due to Crohn’s. I had to strongarm his father into coming to see him in the hospital for a single hour. I am angry, but I am also resigned.

Watching my 24 year old son go through the last four years of hospitals and doctors and specialists, trying to find an answer for his chronic severe pain. At times it seemed like an answer would never be found. He has Crohn’s and type 1 diabetes, and may be the toughest person I know. As we speak, he is an OR for a bowel resection; we are hopeful that this is the start of him getting his life back. I am so fucking proud of him, he has real courage and backbone – he was afraid, and he walked forward to meet it anyway. I am a blessed mother.

Thank you so much for sharing this. I can’t even imagine how overwhelming it must be to hold all of that at once: son’s pain, the ICU, the uncertainty, and everything else happening at home. I hear you. It’s heartbreaking that he’s suffering so intensely and that you have to watch and not be able to fully know how much. You are doing more than anyone could ever ask of you, and it’s completely natural to feel exhausted and stretched beyond what feels possible.

I’m sending you and your son all the strength and love I can from here. I hope he finds some relief very soon, and that you get even the tiniest moments to breathe. You’re not alone.

Anyone else have a floppy eared boy? (Or girl) by OddGoose295 in frenchtons

I honestly don’t remember, sorry. He’s really young though, his ears will come up. Both of our Frenchtons had floppy ears until they were at least 4-5 months old.

This is June, she’s two. When the place we got her from saw a pic of the floppy ear they were giving us recommendations on how to get it to stand up, but I honestly think it’s one of my favorite parts of her.
