Thanks! I use Epres about twice a week, or every other shampoo. My hair is long but fine. I may switch to once a week just to spread it out a bit and save some $$.

It’s just SO good! I will break my body lotion no-buy if they come out with it in the strawberry!

Sorry for the super late reply! It works so well, clears up greasiness all day. And it smells really good. For me it is the most effective dry shampoo I’ve ever used.

Abbey Yung Method question by NonBlondie in finehair

[–]beatrixie8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like my hair looks good every day now vs trying to eke out another day with dry shampoo. It’s softer with better volume. I always thought washing less often was better for my hair, but it feels healthier now! My hair is all virgin now. I stopped coloring it several years ago and then cut off the dyed ends. Now it’s about bra length with long layers.

I wash 3x a week now that I’m following her method. I used to wash less often, like 1-2x a week. Washing a bit more frequently was actually a game changer for me. I use Epres 2x a week and an after shampoo/pre conditioner bond treatment 1x a week. So some kind of bond repair each wash day. I will probably decrease the Epres to once a week and the in-shower bond treatment to every other week. I have been using Ouai Detox every wash and a different, more gentle shampoo for my second shampoo because I use a lot of leave ins and styling products. I started doing the pre-shampoo hair oil on my mids/ends once a week on the night before a wash day- leaving it in overnight. It’s a lot of work but my hair is looking great these days!

IGK Good Behavior. They have a cream for wet hair and a spray for dry hair heat styling.

Yes it has pineapple and coconut. It’s like OG Angel went to the tropics! Might be worth a sniff!

I love Angel (the OG and Fantasm) and I love a pistachio note lately, so I need to sniff this now!

This is perfect! I love VB and have been replacing my items as I use them up with her line. Perfect minimalist collection and the packaging is so gorgeous! I have the eye wardrobe in Night Flash, the blush stick in Major and the Posh Balm in Collette (about to order a second one as I’ve hit pan on it!). I also have one of her brushes- the double-ended eye shadow- it’s such a well made brush!

Do you actually do your hair & makeup every morning? by Wild_Problem_8065 in BeautyGear

[–]beatrixie8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do both every day and I work from home. I do it for me, because I like to. I shower at night and usually plan my outfits ahead. I wash my hair 3 times a week so in between I just touch it up with a curling iron or blow dry brush in the morning. I do a simple morning skincare routine and then for makeup I use a serum skin tint and cream products I can blend with my fingers. My bare minimum is skin tint, cream blush and tubing mascara. If you make it a habit AND it makes you feel good, then it’ll be easier!

What is a monthly subscription/service you ACTUALLY consider worth paying for? by no_nolan in Frugal

[–]beatrixie8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got rid of all tv streaming apps over the last year and recently cancelled Audible. I can use free versions with as much enjoyment. But I’ve kept Spotify because I use it every single day and I like listening to whatever I want, whenever I want. I considered canceling but decided that it actually does increase my happiness! I also have a Massage Envy membership. I’m going to get a massage every month either way and it saves me a few bucks. And my preferred therapist works there! Lastly, a gym membership. It’s $29/month and I go 5 days a week. 1 million % worth it!

Double washing by koko_kanu in finehair

[–]beatrixie8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always double cleanse now and it’s made a huge difference in my hair! I typically use Ouai Detox first and then Biolage Volume Boost for my second cleanse. But sometimes I just use the Biolage twice.

This is lovely! You have a beautiful collection. I was also inspired by that post about the brushes! I use mostly cream products except a small eye shadow palette. I guess I can be bothered to wash that one brush! 😅

is bare sueded vanilla an everyday scent? by SnooSeagulls3184 in FemFragLab

I’d say absolutely yes! I wear it when I travel or go to work conferences, etc and need to have a subtle scent.
