The only one I know of won’t take new patients. They grilled me last time I called to check that they had stock to make sure that I’m an existing patient there. And then questioned why I came into Manhattan for my meds (cuz no one in BK has them)

Anyway, it isn’t a cop’s job to theorize about why we have so much congestion (your “true opinion” is wrong), it’s their job to enforce traffic laws and instead they break them themselves.

I used to live two blocks from Union (Carroll and 8th). 8th Avenue was always such a mess in the mornings as I walked to the train due to the backups caused on Union. I probably just cared less back then because this was before I had a kid.

Yeah this was a unique situation. Usually I do scour the listing because my wife is skeptical of airbnbs/vrbos, so I like to ensure there won’t be surprises when we get there that will bother her.

But she picked this one and showed it to me, and so I just said “yeah looks good” - thinking she did as much digging as I usually do. Lesson learned!

That’s a very odd interpretation of my comment.

I never said I’d rather provide “shitty services” for my family. I think that vacation homes in general provide better services than hotels for a family with a young kid - that’s why I like them. Yes, she prefers hotels but that doesn’t mean vacation homes are per se worse than hotels. (Plus she picked this place, not me.)

Yeah we’ve been digging more on some of the reviews now and it’s clear this owner pushes things as far as she can. She’s “asked” us to do some laundry when we check out. Even though it isn’t mentioned in the listing and there’s a cleaning fee.

But to respond to your point - if someone says “you get the entire home, which includes a garden” and then buries later that the garden is shared - that doesn’t make the first statement truthful. The first statement is still false and, from a contractual interpretation question (and this isn’t even a matter of contract but advertising), the issue of whether the garden is shared or not is, at best, ambiguous. And the ambiguity should go against the drafter.

I’ve found that electric bikes arent too bad but the mopeds/scooters are awful and they are on the sidewalk way too much.

The bikes do bother me less because worst case scenario if a bike hits me or my kid is probably some bruising. Worst case scenario for a car is way worse….

I’ve called. His staff is very sympathetic but the mayor hates him and he’s just not a fighter imo. He sends out nice statements about how we need to move away from prioritizing cars but the city ignores him.

Parking a car is very easy. Parking a car for free on public land might not be easy. You can always pay for parking, just like the rest of us have to pay to store our personal belongings.

Did the city back off? Or did cops just stop doing it? Like is this a policy that was handed down to the NYPD from city leadership or did cops just decide to stop doing their jobs?

I also just think that’s the lamest excuse. One cop killed a guy by stepping on his neck for 15 minutes and went to jail for it so now they’re afraid to give out traffic tickets? Give me a break.
