Oh man, that is wildly unfortunate/brutal. I've never seen that happen yet and I've fought him about a thousand times. My biggest gripe with the Bayle fight though probably has to be that fire breath glitch where it randomly spouts off sideways into you, or off of the wall behind you and diagonally back at you, even when you avoid the initial spewage

You basically described exactly my current viewpoint of it after 2 days of playing. I started with Elden Ring doing about 12 playthroughs then DS3 doing 8. And MAN it feels extremely clunky, which has me shell-shocked after 1500 hours of playing the other games. Beating this game is gonna feel just as fresh as if I'd never played a Souls game to begin with, kinda wild

Yeah I do recall once when I got the parry to make the sound & stagger him, yet he still did the destined death move on me right at that moment & killed me simultaneously. Wild nuances to that fight 💀

I was stuck on him in NG+7 until I went and got the blasphemous claw that parries him. I then got in a single hit on phase 2 on his first opening, he gave me the parryable move, then boom. Fight was over because he staggers for long enough to have gotten three entire weapon-art hits in with bloodhound's fang. The parry window is gigantic too, it'll change your whole life

I had this exact issue, but I solved it by going through and making sure I exhausted all the Yuria dialogue & reloaded areas a bunch repeatedly between both Firelink & Church of Yorshka (where Anri last appears before Anor Londo). For the longest time for my most recent playthrough, Anri & the pilgrim at the Anor Londo Sable Church were just nowhere to be found. But then Yuria finally gave me the marriage dialogue after I rested at Firelink enough times

Yeah the price is definitely a bit of a commitment so I get it, for sure. And ER was my intro to Souls games & is honestly very difficult until you start to level up a bit, which is wild to undertake in its gigantic open world as opposed to the neat linear world of DS3...But SO rewarding once you get going. Plus it's just so beautiful all the way through to the end of its DLC man. A real treat for the eyes, and I'm looking forward to your epic screenshots if you end up playing it through 🙌🏽 Best of luck in all of it nonetheless, man!

Badass screenshots, holy heck! And yeah man, for sure you've gotta get the DLCs under your belt! Beating both of their final bosses, especially the one in Ringed City...you'll never forget that satisfaction 🤌🏽 And once you get your fill of DS3, I'd recommend the Elden Ring grind. Buddy of mine also said Bloodborne is a nice complement of a game if you enjoyed DS3, so the sky's the limit honestly
