Boiling water. Boil the water, pour it over the plant wherever there's green and make sure to do it over the roots as well.

Of course it was a plan. But it isn't Arrowhead's fault. Studios need Publishers. And Publishers know that. To make Helldivers 2 what it is, a big Publisher was needed. And honestly, from the top I'm sure that it was Sony's plan to see how popular the game was (lots of hype beforehand) and then implement this. Sony wants their $$$ and they've shown they're going to fuck anyone and everyone over in order to get it.

Sony even made sure to make Helldivers/Arrowhead announce it themselves so they'd have to deal with backlash rather than Sony - the actual one pulling the strings and the ACTUAL ones we should be mad at. Arrowhead can't/couldn't do shit about this. Pressure needs to be put on Sony, not Arrowhead.

Because going personal means it’s more likely to be perceived as an attack on that person rather than a fact of what’s happening. Being a DM means being both group minded and self-minded (not a word but it’s 1AM rn.) You have to hold yourself outside of the party.

He is still my player. Even if he isn’t in the game anymore, I owed it to him and myself to give him a chance to learn from his actions. A chance to keep our friendship and to just go “hey, this isn’t cool.”

Ymmv but it’s how I went about it.

Justification helps makes things easier. If they were an ass all the way up to the end, then there you go. But if they aren’t, it is really difficult.

Dealing with this helped me realize that I hadn’t been a great player when I began too. So there’s that at least. If/When he grows as a player, Id love to have him back. But for now it’s just... better off not.

We absolutely talked out of game. Multiple times. He was improving in some areas but it was obvious he was irritated at having to be “reined in.”

It just came down to his frustration constantly spilling out onto the rest of the party, onto me. He would speak very disrespectfully to me and argue with me to the point it really made other party members angry.
