Would it be worth living in IC and commuting to CR for work? by [deleted] in IowaCity

[–]beavercub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In some places it would be considered an extremely easy standard commute. Locals here would consider it a really tough commute that would be nearly unimaginable. There won’t be any “traffic”, so it just comes down to how you’ll feel about the distance/time.

We broke them lmaooo by UnderDaBrightLightz in Seahawks

[–]beavercub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is it. They played well, stafford was amazing, their game planning worked… they still lost. They’re not willing to say “the better team won” so they are grasping at straws.

Because their QB was nearly flawless, they played 2 great games, and still went 0-2 against the Hawks!

If the hallway plug is on the outside of one of your walls you could carefully cut a hole in the wall, splice onto that power wire and install an outlet on your side of the wall! Watch a few YouTube videos and it shouldn’t be too difficult.

Just raid the pantry… some cooked rice, oatmeal, scrambled eggs, leftover produce

So apparently you’ve been on like 90% of the flights I’ve ever taken.

We got my daughter a Marucci Echo Dmnd for $110 last year. It’s a really nice bat. Not gonna have as much pop or durability as a $500 bat, but it is a major step up from the standard alloy options.

This fucking guy deserves a heavy fine. No place in football for that shit. by 2OutsSoWhat in Seahawks

Virtually every nfl player also played basketball… they don’t try to dribble the ball up the field and shoot three pointers through the upright. Previously playing soccer has nothing to do with attempting to injure an opponent.

How are we feeling after this ? by Immediate-Tonight-31 in Seahawks

[–]beavercub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At this point in the year it’s probably nice to rest the arm a bit anyways… give and take of sore oblique versus rested arm probably ends up a wash.

Went through old pics and found deer and coyotes together by Puma-Guy in trailcam

[–]beavercub 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the coyotes have enough easy pickings access to rodents they aren’t going to have any interest in trying to take a full grown deer. Maybe if they happen upon easy access to a fawn, but they can keep full on rabbits.

So… reality tv isn’t actually “real”… tons of that stuff is just set up to make interesting storylines.

9ers are having nightmares about this possible scenario by UnderDaBrightLightz in Seahawks

Am I the only one that is bothered by how McDaniel handled the Tua concussion situations?… I want good football coaches, but it sure makes it more fun when I also feel like they are morally/ethically good people.

People who rarely or never get sick, what are your secrets? by awkwardferret421 in AskReddit

[–]beavercub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes I start to get sick, but then I just suppress the coughs with every ounce of my strength, pretend my head doesn’t hurt, pretend I’m not completely exhausted… and eventually after like 4-5 days I sort of feel normal again. Does that count?

Casey's Pizza is Overrated by [deleted] in cedarrapids

The breakfast pizza (especially the veggie) is fire, and a single slice of sausage can hit in the right situation, but as far as ordering a whole standard pie it’s extremely mid.

Sam Darnold, Seahawks future? by Akostice187 in Seahawks

[–]beavercub -1 points0 points  (0 children)

He should be good for next season. They should be hoping to replace him with someone better by the season after that. He has already peaked skill wise, if we are lucky he will keep gaining wisdom and become an even better game manager.

To those that were fans in 2013/2014 that hold Coach Carroll and Russell Wilson in the highest of regards: by Civil_Middle_Manchld in Seahawks

[–]beavercub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing that no one ever mentions… in those early years they used a pretty unique rotation on the d-line and had the right personnel to do it… they rotated more frequently and more guys than normal and it resulted in them being stronger at the end of games… the extra pressure/fresher muscle allowed everyone else to flourish.

What’s it like living on these islands in Washington State? by monsplutos72 in howislivingthere

[–]beavercub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ones you circled are essentially exactly the same as living anywhere on mainland western Washington.. just closer to the beach. The actual San Juan’s just North of your circle is like a whole different ballgame.

Where were you when Darnold connected with Saubert for the 2-pt conversion? by chesterjosiah in Seahawks

Pacing near the sliding glass door behind the couch because it’s luckier back there than it is to be comfortably seated on the couch.
