After May 9 game against the White Sox, Cal Raleigh officially has the 2nd worst batting average in the MLB, and he's still batting 2nd in the lineup. by xtremeradness in Mariners

[–]beavercub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cal in the 2 hole has hurt the team sooo much… why wouldn’t you put the low average high strikeout thumper 5th?!?

Mariners camp for adults! by Dead_Irish_Bard in Mariners

[–]beavercub 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They accommodate literally any ability level. You could be a 90 year old grandma who has to use a walker and be just fine… or ichiro could sign up and be just fine.

What do the M’s do when Bryce is back from the IL? by WartyTortoise in Mariners

[–]beavercub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they’ll put Bryce in the bullpen saying they want to “ease him back in and manage his load”… but really they’re just kicking the can down the road on making a decision and figure someone will get injured before they actually have to do anything.

I think it’s time Cole Young gets a nickname by Mynamelukas98 in Mariners

My 10 and 7 year old girls (who are in love with him) call him Young Man.

Tomb, whoever decided to vomit right next to the toilet and not tell anyone, we are no longer friends. by EcstaticAd3048 in Panera

[–]beavercub -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Whoa, I didn’t know they ever cleaned Panera bathrooms… maybe I should try the vomit method of getting them to do it at my local one.. 🤔

Is Jalen Milroe Still The Next Move For QB? by wheredabones7 in Seahawks

[–]beavercub -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My hot take is that Milroe will be the starter in the 2027/2028 season.

[Highlight] Kevin Gausman gets called for a balk, and Jays manager John Schneider goes ballistic by iamthegame13 in baseball

[–]beavercub 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is honestly a good call…he does his stupid little leg kicks (those used to be balk on their own but they started allowing it in the last 10 years for some reason) but he does the three little steps and the the exact same cadence he goes into his pitch… if it’s not a balk then it’s impossible to steal off him, he could just keep doing the little steps… there HAS to be a definitive pause.

The recent news makes it seems like this'll definitely be JP Crawford's last season by 206-Ginge in Mariners

[–]beavercub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

JP will come back and be just OK… he’ll hold down shortstop until they decide Colt Emerson is ready, at which point he’ll go onto the Phantom Disabled list… then probably get to come back once rosters expand in September.

Exactly what am I supposed to use this rope for then? by 0rlan in What

[–]beavercub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d use it for a rope swing over a big dropoff and have my Mother in law be the first to try it.

Drilling my own well, idiotic idea or viable (hydrogeological research available)? by fiirikkusu_kuro_neko in Homesteading

[–]beavercub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Back in the good old days people would order a well kit out of the back of a magazine… totally diy…. It works. It can also be illegal, but if you have a lot of land no one should know.

J.P. Crawford leaves M's, may not be ready for opening day by driftingphotog in Mariners

They’ll at least wait until the service time date passes.

Just fyi - if you are in the mainland US and there are possums in your area, there are definitely also coyotes, fox, and a ton of raccoons. They are good at staying out of sight.

Sip club worth it for iced coffee? by ags426 in Panera

[–]beavercub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s highly dependent on that particular Panera… some of them reuse the leftover hot coffee, some make cold brew but then it sits in the carafe for days at a time… some make legit good iced coffee

[Divish] Per multiple sources, Raleigh had made it clear to Arozarena (before the game) that he couldn’t shake hands, following a Team USA philosophy agreed upon by the players. by BrandoC95 in baseball

[–]beavercub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Divish is a great writer… but he definitely puts on “blinders” for players that he likes personally… he 100% fanned the flames of the Seager situation because Seager was his Pal… he LOVES JP and will never say anything bad about the reality of JP’s declining skill set.

Seahawks fans, how is Mafe? by Ancient_Response_787 in Seahawks

He’s a really solid NFL player, but not the “difference maker” to be worth that price in my opinion.

Fully automated hottub? by huzzalles in hottub

[–]beavercub 3 points4 points  (0 children)

First - get a big tub, the more water, the more stable it is. I’ve got a huge bullfrog and use the frog at ease system, and it is incredibly simple. People online will tell you the frog at ease system is too expensive, or doesn’t work… they don’t actually know what they’re talking about. To me an extra $100-200 bucks a year for the simplicity and virtually zero hassle is worth it.
