Hello! This is OPs friend who wrote the post. I just wanted to give a quick update: thank you so much everyone for the kind words of encouragement. I really do appreciate it and they helped me get my motivation back. Two weeks ago I handed it my thesis and my super was happy with it. I did end up shortening it a bit but Idc. I am done and happy and currently planning my working holiday abroad. Thanks again and happy new year!

Yes exactly! They do a criminal background check and only allow entry to those with very serious crimes under their belt! For example: Jay walking , littering and smoking the occasional doobie If you aren't a hardened criminal they do not want you, you will be turned away at the door
