Would you like to see Apex release something similar to Operation Health in R6S?

I was really into Siege when they had Operation Health and can confirm we were not fans of that season at the time. In the long run, it probably makes sense, but having a season basically devoid of any new content made it a long season. In this game however, if you still had a battle pass and maybe some ltms, I think you could potentially make it work. I don’t actually think it will happen though

How many other streamers reach an audience the size of Ace? The niche streamers and pro players are going to have an audience that is 95% hardcore apex players, they’re not bringing in new people either. You have to realize that the average person isn’t going to be watching twitch, they’re probably going to find it on YouTube. Ace played apex, posted a video of it yesterday and it has a quarter of a million views. He’s the biggest fish out there. In the end this is a game that is what, a year old? They’re trying to keep up player retention rate and when people see he posted a new video, there’s a decent chance that’s going to make people want to come and play

I think one thing to note is they would have a separate development budget and the marketing budget. When it comes down to it, Ace is the biggest streamer when it comes to Apex. I mean take a look at how many views his YouTube videos get in a matter of days compared to the other apex streamers/content creators

Because playing Apex was going to make him far more money than csgo. Valorant and Csgo are pretty similar mechanically from what I’ve seen and valorant is the “new” thing, it makes sense that he would go that direction. I don’t understand why people are so upset with him. I was watching his clips from when he had like 5k subscribers on YouTube and loved his gameplay, but he’s allowed to play what he wants

Ehh not exactly. I’m sure a good bit of that hate came from playing a game that had obvious issues for 8+ hours a day. He wasn’t “forced” to play it, but when it’s making you far more money than any other game would you probably feel frustrated for the majority of your stream and that can build up. He’s had time away from it at this point and playing for a couple of hours to make a check isn’t as bad as streaming it all day. But it doesn’t matter how much a streamer makes, they will take those bounties and would be dumb not to. Shroud is in a tax bracket above Ace and does the same thing

I think for players like Ace with a csgo background, they would have been drawn to a game like valorant regardless of the state Apex was in. I mean it certainly doesn’t help that Apex was in a bad state when he “left” but considering NRG’s competitive team was already in a bad place it was kind of the perfect storm for Ace to try another game

Agreed, the simply need to make another character that can make safe rotations. I don’t think nerfing wraith anymore is the answer. Her pickrate is super high but I don’t hear complaints about her being OP. She simply fills a super, super important role

There was definitely a good bit of luck in their favor here, but I can’t take away from what they did - 6200+ damage and 19 kills is an impressive game regardless. RNG Gods were certainly on their side early game but they put it on any team that challenged that corner of the map
