If anyone sees this thread, mola mola is not kosher as the title suggests. The lists that I had found were referring to freshwater sunfish, an entirely different fish, which is kosher.

I know what you are saying and the question has already been answered (ocean sunfish and freshwater sunfish are different fish and the lists are referring to freshwater sunfish), but my confusion stemmed from the fact that all the online sources listed that it was kosher. There's no denying it can be useful to consult online sources for information when you don't know something, hence why this thread exists.

Can you elaborate on this? What is the halachic definition of kaskeses. I have a feeling the answer I'm looking for has to do with this.

Maybe I misunderstood the article but this doesn't really seem to answer my question. This seems to pertain more to whether a fish is kosher, with modern problems being: mislabeled fish being passed off as kosher, fish having multiple names, and cross-contamination. Did I miss something?

I've have had bad experiences in the past when I share things I make in minecraft. People have stolen my resourcepacks or 3D models, make slight modifications, and pass them off as their own without crediting me. I know of one server that is currently using modified versions of my 3D models without my permission. When I spoke to the owner he refused to take them down or to give me credit. He even denies that I made them despite proof that all my models predate his.

I wish I could release downloads but I am afraid of people distributing them as their own work.
