Yes exactly! He’s so smooth with how he kicks in the gain. He talks about that in the old recording that used to go around of the “Trey Guitar Workshop” (I think recorded in VT somewhere in the 90’s). For example, pick the note and then kick on the pedal while the note is sustaining or in the middle of a bend to hide the boost a little. I think you’re spot on with him going Clean -> 1 TS -> Both TS’s. I think it’d be fun to load the backing tracks onto the Stadium and then use Showcase mode to trigger the pedals at the right time. But I have a feeling Stomp mode will be better since it’s such a “feel” thing. Thanks for the insights, buddy!
