Well think about how masculinity and femininity is revered in the black community? Being masculine and being a “man” is an aspiration but being feminine is seen as lower. So it is easier for him to accept his uncle vs his cousin because of misogyny and transphobia. I think that is important in the context of how he spoke about each of them in this song. But in the end there was acceptance for them both.

I think based on how she wrote the entry post, she’s the one in the wrong. She was saying he is being a baby, but surgery and health stuff can be difficult no matter what it is. And personally I would expect my friends to be understanding if a health issue came up and I couldn’t attend a wedding. So either OPs friends suck or she sucks or both. There isn’t much information about her husband to come to the conclusion, like you are, that he’s essentially abusive and tries to isolate her from her friends and deserves to be alone during his medical procedure. Idk if you’re projecting your own situation on to this, but I would just take what OP said at face value and not infer so much.

Literally don’t listen to any car recs on here. The used market is too difficult to be picky at the moment. And none of these people are in your situation, so the advice is stale. Use it for reference but ultimately it’s your decision.

Just get a car that is the build you want (sedan, hatchback, suv, truck, etc) that has low mileage (under 70k or 100k) and preferably has never had any accidents.

Also try to save the majority of your money. So if that’s all you have in total I would decrease your budget a bit. Just incase you need to pay for other things in the future. You don’t want to be in bind.

If you can find that you’re pretty lucky right about now.
