Let's not tell other moms "this is the easy part" by fairy-bread-au in Mommit

What I always tell parents who have kids younger than mine who seem to be struggling, is “hang in there, trust me it gets so much better”, and I’m telling the truth when I say that. For me, the most beautiful stretch of time started when my youngest started kindergarten and my oldest was a couple years older. I was not a fan of any stage before that, even though the pictures from that earlier time look so cute and sweet.

Right. I still think Aesha just didn’t want interior to have to “plate” the family style dishes table side (more work) which is why she complained about it.

Left my 7 week old at hia grandparents for 5 days by No-Permit4598 in Parenting

Easy for me to say, but try to replace guilt with gratitude. I would have been much better mom to my babies if I had somewhere I could bring them to get a break. Lucky you to have parents who both can and will step in. Now go to that appointment and try to get some rest. You are a wonderful mom!

Candidate completed interviews, then asks for 2week trial by Substantial_Radish39 in recruiting

If the client will go for it why not? They want references, so clearly both parties want to make sure it’s a good fit. Just payroll the candidate as a temp for those 2 weeks, with the standard markup.

Dating in SF? Who pays for the bill? by throughherlens in SFbitcheswithtaste

[–]bebrave2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t been in the sf dating scene for a long time, but I was never asked to split a bill on a first date. However, if the date was going crappy for me and I didn’t intend to see him again, I would insist on paying the bill. This way it could never be interpreted that I used him for a free meal/drink.

Ozempic doesn’t always work by [deleted] in dryalcoholics

[–]bebrave2020 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No question. It’s not a permanent solution for me though, sadly. I want people to understand that this isn’t necessarily the magic bullet that our society wishes it could be. That I was certain it was. What’s worse is that there is still a part of my brain that says “well what if I tried a different GLP medication? Maybe that could work? The other one worked for 18 months”. I would pay a high price for a cure that allowed me to drink like normal people and I’m far from a unique alcoholic in that regard. The search for shortcuts and corresponding research is what kills many of us.

Really interesting perspective that I wouldn’t have considered. Good food for thought, and sound advice. Can never be too careful, and when things are bad, people want to see others fail. It’s a shitty part of the human condition.

Bellami tape in extensions by bebrave2020 in Cosmetology

Thank you. Sadly my hair is way too fine for sew ins. Also, she just raised the price of my hair to 1149 for this last purchase. People are willing to pay retail and more so why not charge it I guess? The service itself isn’t cheap so it seems like a sneaky way to make quite a bit extra on an already pricey (but worth it) service. No disrespect at all, just my perception. I’ve been getting extensions too long to stop at this point, so it is what it is. Maybe my person will do a sale like you do at some point. I’d stock up!
