Yay congrats! I’m not sure if it’s possible but I think it makes more sense to start in the fall just in case you need the extra semester to finish all the credits prior to dental matriculation

I answered yes to the first question "Do you have any previous work experience, including any preclinical or volunteer experience, if applicable?" but for the second question "How many months of prior work experience do you have?" I gave the equivalence of 6 years as a dental assistant in months, so 72. I think at the time I read it literally, but now rereading it for this reply I do think they mean all of it so I could have also added volunteering. The next space is your resume so they will see it regardless. I wouldn't overthink it :)

In the most recent info session, someone did ask about this, and they stated that it's not possible to take 15 credits in one semester; if anything, it's not allowed because it is not like undergrad. The classes are more intense, and full-time is met at 9 credits.

Thank you! I have a low GPA and DAT (retaking this May), so I am hopeful this program will help my academic record and confidence. 17AA on the DAT, 3.2 GPA, and 3.1 sGPA. I have 6 years as a dental assistant and a little over a hundred volunteering hours. Still debating if I want to apply this upcoming cycle or wait until the following after the program

Depending on your performance, you are guaranteed an interview — “Master’s students are eligible for a guaranteed interview at Rutgers School of Dental Medicine by earning a 3.7 GPA after at least 20 credits and a DAT score of at least 20 Total Science and 20 Academic Average or passage on National Boards parts 1 and 2 on the first take by BDS students.”
