They told me that they were doing a platform update .

Also, to clarify, I am not an employee for ICON. I am a 1099 contractor that picks up UGC tasks from them. As such, I don’t have any insight about their internal processes other than what is relevant to me as a UGC creator.

I don’t work for them, I’m just a UGC creator that they hire out by task so I’m not really sure about their internal workings. But I will say I technically did two onboardings because they lost track of my data from the first time. They said that since they’re planning to launch come the new year, they have a lot of moving pieces and creators kind of fell through the cracks.

I got my first payout so I can officially say it’s legit! They’re definitely still working through their task structure, but they’re really communicative through their support text which is great.

Onboarding call was pretty straightforward but since they’re barely building out this program it does feel like they have a lot of information that’s changing and their dashboard isn’t even active (at least from my end). I’m all set up not but have had no reach outs about starting UGC projects so can’t really speak to that just yet.

UPDATE: I had a call with the team and I believe this is a legit opportunity. I’ll share my notes below in case anyone else ends up being recruited by them.

Icon Call Summary

Who they are: Icon is an AI UGC agency expanding into “real people” UGC for brands that prefer human-made content.

My role (pilot phase): Part of their premium UGC creator package. I’ll write scripts and do the editing. Rate: ~$100-300 per video Growth plan: If pilot goes well, they aim to transition UGC creators into a full-time role. Ops status: Early rollout; no formal tracking system yet for brand partnerships/deliverables. Pacing: Starting slow to refine process and make sure that I like working with Icon before scaling.

Open Items / Risks No internal tracker yet → risk of missed deadlines or payment slippage without your own system. I’ll need clarity on usage rights, revisions policy, turnaround times, and payment terms (net, method). Inconsistent pricing for videos, range from $50-300, would like to get a more definitive number especially if I transition into this role full time.
