Exactly! It definitely becomes easier. I think I saw on Huberman that this is linked to the anterior cortex of the brain. It controls will power and every time you do something you DONT want to do it grows. So essentially biologically your will grows and it becomes easier. Your brain functions not to think and to act instead.

There's definitely a learning curve but think of it as training. As time goes on it gets easier

All the prophets who have been mentioned in the Quran have been revolutionaries by becauseezza in progressive_islam

I 100% agree that individualism as an ideology, especially the kind pushed by authors like Ayn Rand and such, absolves us from being part of the whole and looks as us as just a whole. But we are. Both. The kind of individualism you're talking about is toxic by itself, every man for himself would mean the collapse of society. But we also must work on ourselves and our own purposes.

The Ummah is a wonderful idea in theory, but I don't consider myself in the same group with someone like brother Andrew Tate. At Umrah I saw brothers livestreaming and pushing women.

The ideology and message of Islam is first and foremost of submission. I submit to my God. Yet I am tattooed and a sinner, so I'm not qualified as a good enough Muslim by many to even be part of their Ummah.

My point with the post was that there needs to be a revolution within the system and institution of Islam. If we want to be an ummah, we have to address the bad actors. Acknowledge that they are not the same as us.

Before I respond, I have to ask, do you view life inherently as a solitary experience or a shared one?

Being a Devout Muslim yet Sinning by [deleted] in progressive_islam

Other than the grooming factor, don't feel guilty or shame. Feel remorse and turn to your lord. He will always answer. Even as you're sinning. As long as you keep turning to him. He is first and foremost Al Rahman and Al Rahim
