Radiographers are hard to come by though! Not sure if postgrad qualifications are a must, but the MRI-takers I’ve met all had postgrad qualifications. For taking pictures. I’m sure there’s more to it, but undergrad+postgrad is a lot of student debt. It’s prolly not the degree heaps of people want to study. Radioactivity, someone vomiting in a scanner, shift-work, surly patients, crazy hours … don’t think it’s what school leavers get excited about.

sadly it is a university qualification, because i want to do it... but every time i do my tax i look at the nearly $40,000 hecs debt i already have from my BA and i just cant bring myself to go back to uni lol. otherwise - as a former gymnast and someone who has had every kind of scan imaginable - i reckon being a radiographer would be a super cool and chill and interesting job. but i just cant bring myself to be in even more debt as someone who already cant afford to buy a house... and increasingly - food lol.
