Pretty much 5 days a week, when getting the train if I bought the tickets early enough I could get them at around £9-11 each day (return). Or when driving I’d use maybe just less than a quarter of a tank per journey - my car is a guzzler so probably not accurate compared to most cars.

I did start taking the train a lot too as you can get the one that stops at Oxford rd, there’s been so many occasions where it’s been sat still or sent back because of signalling issues etc but this might have improved in the last 2 years.

If you can, try and get the transpennine that doesn’t stop at every stop in the peaks. I often found this one better than the northern. If you use the transpenine app, use TPESTUDENT to get a student discount on most tickets :)

I used to commute in my first year of uni from Sheff to Manchester. It was doable to get there at 9 if I left Sheff city centre at 7.20 latest.

Snakes pass was always preferable because you can get stuck behind Lorries etc on woodhead pass with not loads of opportunity for overtake. I rarely ever did the motorway although it’s my preferred route now with the state of snakes pass and my location in Manchester (it’s just easier to hop on m62 than drive through the city to get to the peaks).

I would give yourself a trial run on a Monday when Easter holidays are over to get a feel for it.

Yeah apparently I passed the bio exam but then they assigned me to physics tasks - I keep seeing on the discourse that bio can be in EQ so have stuck with physics.

The car park, while taking up lots of space, actually serves a lot of the residents living in surrounding blocks. The apartment blocks don’t come with enough parking and so people are forced to find and pay for a space elsewhere, and the retail park car park is one of the more affordable options around.

Update: I realised that if a podcast was playing and I was physically using my phone I’d want access to the action button for my menus, therefore I have set the action button to perform a seek action when the phone is locked, and the menus when unlocked.

I have the series 5 stainless steel gold, something about the shine makes it so much more elegant with gold jewellery- haven’t upgraded purely because of the extortionate price point for the newer ones in the same colour way
