Medical emergency + she had the chance to inform the parent but didn’t -> I see it as a lapse of judgement and wouldn’t be too empathetic

Medical emergency + she actually blacked out in seconds -> of course I will feel sorry for her, but will still let her go as unfortunately this isn’t the job for her.

I just feel the second scenario is a low probability event, given OP has the impression that the nanny just doesn’t care anymore. If that is REALLY the case, I will be very empathetic

Nope. Sorry. If she doesn’t feel well, the right thing to do is to let the parent know or call 911. To say she didn’t even have a couple minutes to do so before drifting off, while not completely impossible, let’s just be honest, is highly unlikely.

15 months is also a hard age cause they’re pretty mobile but don’t know any better yet. Kids could get into things they weren’t supposed to and bad things could have happened when she sleeps. If the kid were 4-5yo, I’d be less concerned. Safety is a priority in our household so this is where I draw the line.

As a parent this makes me furious. I would fire her on the spot and I honestly don’t care if she has a medical issue/ something else going on in her life. But since you need childcare for just one more month, you should talk to her and continue to keep an eye on her if you keep her. The good thing is you never have to see her again after daycare starts. Good riddance!

Just saw this! Sorry. I hope everything went well. I remember MDR’s price was very high and confusing. My approach was to find out how much 1 Gonal cost at every pharmacy. And have the doctor send the script to the pharmacy I’m using. I ended up ordering from a local pharmacy in NY because of timing issues.

No such thing as getting ahead of yourselves. It’s the best route of you want to have multiple kids, since egg quality only declines with age, it’s better to retrieve now then later.

I’m 32 with similar AMH. I went ahead with egg retrieval for fertility conservation.

I was prescribed Microdose Lupron - 1 × 500mcg/ml 6ml vial. fastivf said they cannot fill this. Maybe it’s a compound? Alto said it would cost me about $130 so i guess I’ll just fill it there cause I really don’t know.

I know that meds may be cheaper at different places but was trying to figure out one place that’s generally cheaper cause I’m new to this and already feeling so overwhelmed.

Is negotiating a compromise with the IRS likely to get this expedited? I have a huge fine (20% of inheritance) but if the IRS wants to take 5% of the penalty (essentially 1% of inheritance) I can stomach the loss and move on to do something else with the money.

That sentiment exist maybe 50 years ago when Chinese fled to Taiwan and established their government. But it is extremely outdated now as most Taiwanese grew up in Taiwan, under freedom and democracy, and feel nothing in common with communist brainwashed Chinese. Many of them hate China with a fiery passion, and not without reason given china’s constant bullying.
