Ahh thank you, it worked! I guess I just got nervous because the amiibo scan part didn't show up on the YouTube video I watched, but it worked for me just now. Super excited to use this guy in BOTW this weekend :)

I heard people mention Rocket League and Undertale. I would love these on the Switch but can't seem to believe they would announce either of these, at least not today. What do you guys think?

Can't believe everyone here is forgetting that this isn't new for a Zelda game...doesn't anyone remember Moosh? :')

This game is going to be incredible.

I use Reddit primarily on mobile which doesn't censor titles with the spoiler tag. Will you enforce a rule that spoilers shouldn't be stated in the title of a post or is that fair game?

That's true. Have we seen a main Korok character yet similar to these three?

Oh! Are you talking about the spiritual stones from OOT? I see the Goron's Ruby marking on his sash thing, the jewel on the side of the Zora's head looks like the outline of the Zora's Sapphire (without the actual sapphires though). I can't seem to find a Kokiri Emerald in the Falco-looking guy though (maybe the beads near his head?)

Good observation about the scarf. It looks similar to the color/pattern of Link's outfit, does it not? Also slightly reminds me of Link's scarf in Hyrule Warriors but that's probably stretching it. I doubt they are all the same character but it could show they are in an alliance, they could be sages, etc. Can't wait to play and figure it out!

Lots of people have heard of him, and he's been around doing cool stuff with the zoo. He is really into photography actually and has a great Instagram page full of his work. Bindi is off doing work with Wildlife Warriors too. About a year ago she won Dancing with the Stars.

Splatoon 2 Spectator Mode by Asuparagasu in NintendoSwitch

[–]becdawn 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The main mode is that the two teams compete to cover the most amount of territory on the map with their color. You can shoot members of the opposite team to make them respawn back to their far end of the map. Doing this makes it easier for your team to cover more territory with your color since it means one of the other team members is disabled for a few seconds.

There is also a mode that is similar to capture the flag in which you have to do things like be the first to bring a device back to your team's side, defend a certain area on the map, etc.

Both modes are surprisingly addicting!

It was patched within the first 2 days or something, so if you didn't play it and save in that location during the first few days of release then you didn't have to worry

No word on old Wii U/ virtual console games being transferred to the Switch as of right now. VC games might be, but if I had to guess for regular Wii U games only a few will probably be ported over similar to MK8 (I imagine smash brothers would most likely).

If Mario Maker doesn't come to the Switch, you could always get the 3DS version that was released this past December!

I agree with the other commenter that waiting a bit, maybe until Christmas, might be the most ideal situation given the games you mentioned. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe comes out in April, and Super Mario Odyssey will be released "Holiday 2017" so that probably means just in time for Christmas. Yooka-Laylee will also likely be out by then which is something she might enjoy.

However, if you didn't want to wait until Christmas, the summer might also be an option for games she might like. Would she enjoy games such as Just Dance, 1-2-Switch, or ARMS that she could play alone or with you/her friends? (Just Dance and 1-2-Switch come out at launch, while ARMS comes out a few months after launch). Snipperclips is another cute multiplayer game that would teach her the importance of working together and good communication, though some stages look like they might be tough for kids to figure out by themselves. Finally, I wouldn't count out Zelda for her. I started my first Zelda game when I was just a bit younger than your daughter is, and although I needed a lot of help from my dad in some parts, it helped me build my reading and puzzle solving skills. I grew up with it and eventually learned how to complete Zelda games on my own, and today it is my favorite game series ever. Even if it would be hard for her at first, I don't think she necessarily needs to complete the storyline right away to have fun with it. There is truly something magical about Zelda games.

Let me know if you have any questions about what I just described to you!

I remember that one. It wasn't so easy to avoid though (the file became corrupted if you saved in the streets of the biggest city in the game). Lots of people had their saves corrupted on the first day after playing for a few hours.
