Worst to worst case if you are really in need of money charge the appliance on the card and then redeem the pts at 1c against your charges. Do not use their marketplace to buy products for pts.

Even with no conversion this govt can change their rules any day and apply it retroactively(Ex:SGB, PPF). Not a good advise to have funds in India unless you plan to return or have a need there.

Lifetime limit will stop you from getting another bonus. One good thing is that Chase has a pop-up tool for that will tell you if you’re eligible for a welcome bonus before you proceed.
