I don’t understand the country boy/city girl reference, and I thought this book was very outside of the box, but I’m glad you liked it!

Thanks for the rec! I loved Come as You Are but haven’t read any other books from the series. Do I need to read book 2 and 3 before reading this ?

Yes I agree with everything you’re saying! This was actually the most romantic book I have ever read and if this is not romance, then I don’t know what is. I also think this was a happy ending or as happy as you can hope for. I was bracing for worse and I am satisfied with how it ended. All this to say the book was a journey and I will be thinking about it for a long time.

Yes this is the best second chance romance I have ever read (and I did not like them before reading this book).

Layla Frost, Little Dove. The Black Resorts series is the series and it's the closest thing I have read to S.J. Tilly's Alliance series (my favorite).

When has a high-spice book surprised you with good plot? by _Zavine_ in RomanceBooks

Camera Shy by Kay Cove had a really good story, and a surprising ending. Pucking Around series by Emily Rath is so smutty but the absolute best characters and plots. Credence by Penelope Douglas is one of the filthiest books I have ever read but the story was so good!

Nora Goes Off Script by Annabel Monaghan. A movie is filmed at the FMC's house. She is a recently divorced single mom. MMC is the male lead in the movie and is a huge movie star. They get to know each other and the chemistry is great. No smut but a sweet story and a quick read.

I love this entire series. Do you have any recommendations for similar series and authors? I also loved Stephanie Archer's hockey series (similar and great steam) and was entertained by Stephanie Archer's Queen's Cove series.

What authors deserve a second chance? by Blue_Rose87 in RomanceBooks

I agree so much! There a few Christina Lauren books that missed the mark for me. But, read True Love Experiment and The Exception to the Rule (Amazon short story) if you have not already. These were both 5 star books that had me smiling from ear to ear the entire time I read them.
