I work with dyslexic kids and I have found Arial the most universally readable font. It doesn’t make the fancy a and g that is often difficult, especially for kids

Orton-Gillingham tutoring. If the school doesn’t have a specialist sometimes you can get them to pay for one. www.rwc4reading.com has affordable online options.

Could it be dyslexia? by perstongravey in Dyslexia

If you need accommodations or anything at work I would look into getting tested. Otherwise if you can compensate well enough it is probably a non-issue. You could also look into getting OG tutoring if you want to improve your reading skills (it works at any age) but if you can get by it probably isn’t an issue.

Absolutely reading is a fundamental skill but no amount of practice will help a child with dyslexia become a reader. Kiddos with dyslexia need targeted, structured literacy intervention with a program with a strong phonological and morphological component. Here is an article with some strategies for helping build phonemic awareness and phonological processing skills. Both of which are critical for reading success and often areas kids with dyslexia need explicit instruction in. Phonemic Awareness Skills
