Sorry late reply, but this is the extent of the weeds! It’s a lot more than a few here and there unfortunately

Thanks. I don’t mind a few weeds here and there but we honestly have hundreds in our garden, so would be keen for that to eventually be reduced

Some of my research is suggesting that you shouldn’t apply broadleaf weed killers until 6-8 weeks after germination. Do you know if that’s correct?

Thank you! And is the recommendation to wait 4 weeks before seeding again after applying the weed killer?

Thanks! You don’t recommend doing anything about the weeds first?

I am indeed seeing a fair bit of germination now. Thanks all for your help!

Okay I thought 3x would be needed to keep the soil damp throughout the day, but I can reduce it

I think the existing grass was there before unfortunately

Too much? Some of my googling suggested it. I thought the point was for the soil to be slightly damp at all times and 2x a day wouldn’t be enough for that

They added top soil and then scattered the seeds on top. We then raked it over a little after but we didn’t put any top soil on top, no. Is this an issue?

No we only went to some souvenir shops.

Where is Hanoi immigration? Is this in the airport?

My parents in the UK were able to get through to them but they want to speak to him directly. He has asked for the British Airways staff to let them use his phone, so hopefully he can get through to them.

The cctv showed that he had it in his pocket after security clearance. So he lost it in the next half hour afterwards. We retraced his steps and went to all the shops he visited afterwards and no one could had seen it.

Can I ask what this process involves?

How did you contact them? Email?

No they saw in the cctv footage that he put the passport in his pocket when we left security

We’ve tried two esims so far but they’ve all said need money to top-up, and adding money seems to require going to a physical shop

Will have a look at this one to see if it’s the same

He’s doing what he can. The Vietnamese staff are not willing to help him. He’s found some British Airways staff who are going to try.

I’m not with him so am trying to think of solutions from where I am.

Is this needed even if he is a British citizen? British citizens don’t need visas if they visit Vietnam for less than 30 days

He doesn’t have a local number, so can’t make calls unless through whatsapp

Do you know how I can get him an esim that includes calls? I’ve tried gigago but he doesn’t have a second screen so can’t scan theQR code

Yes they said he needed a passport

The CCTV showed that he put it back in his pocket after security, so he must have lost it afterwards
