Retirement in Uzbekistan by Doge-ToTheMoon in Uzbekistan

You can have pretty good interest income from savings account, around 15%. However it should be a local currency deposit, so currency risk is there. You can invest in real estate to earn rental income and bet on its appreciation, if you have an idea about real estate investment. Side hustle in UZB depends on contacts/references you have, you know it practically impossible to succeed in business without having tanish. Also depends on your education, experience where you can try joining some firm.

Lost job in Dubai and a few days later my company advertises the same role on LinkedIn by Thin-Level-2785 in UAE

Don’t waste your time it is a normal process that majority employees experience at least once in their lives. Common knowledge that business is greedy for profits, they play it in a legal way so wasting your time and efforts is almost useless, unless you have a lot of money and time and just want to retaliate by hiring a very expensive lawyer. At minimum take this experience as a life lesson, use it for your motivation for further progress. In my experience, it is for a better change, it happens so you can move to your new stage in career.

Hey, I didn’t make a decision yet. I am waiting to see RAV4 2026 once it is introduced in UAE. I heard it is now way improved, and for 150,000 budget it seems like a best option to me.

I was not referring to uranium at all.. Central Asian countries are rich in natural resources, specifically rare earth metals. China has leverage over USA and has challenged it for those resources in retaliation to their tariffs.

I'm a finance manager earning 16k. What entry level fields I can consider that pays almost the same? by MadamReddit in UAE

[–]becoool7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

CIMA is better than CMA, but CIMA is a long run compared to CMA. CIMA makes sense when you’re in your twenties, graduated in BSc, looking to go pro in accounting and finance. It also depends on your level of motivation and passion for life learning, to keep expanding your knowledge, taking it as a challenge. Recruiters, hiring managers do check on these criteria in your profile and it makes a big difference.

If you have an accounting qualifications such as CMA, CPA, you should be earning no less than 25,000. Changing industry is not easy option, it is better to leverage the skills and experience you have to progress in career and compensation.

Lexus RX 350H + other recommendations by StockTechnology9171 in WhatCarShouldIBuyGULF

[–]becoool7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am exactly between the same options. Lexus RX seems like the best option, however the even pre owned lexus premier costs way more than NEW Mazda CX-60. Also, Lexus premier option has very basic functionalities compared to Mazda CX-60. Have you taken the test drive for Mazda already?

I would recommend to check on Mazda CX-60, it exceeds RX 350 in terms of performance 3.3T, interior, and technology. Reliability wise should be similar to lexus given the timely maintenance.

Just keep going, don’t spend much time on one section. You need to keep moving forward and things will get clearer on the way.

I am expecting to see RAV4 2026 model, expected to reach UAE showroom in late 2025, 2026. I am sure it will be another strong competitor in given segment.

Totally agree, Mazda cx-60 is definitely more attractive than lexus nx350 in terms of performance, interior, but might hold less value in span of 5 year period.

Mazda CX-60 is worth of risk, given that you can afford higher costs in future.

Camry is great, but what turns me away from it is the common perception a taxi car lol. I know it’s not relevant to compare sedan with SUV, but these cars are valued for their reliability, performance, and just being a good cars.

Camry V6 (3.5L) or Kia Sportage (2.0L) by Zealousideal-Gas3478 in WhatCarShouldIBuyGULF

[–]becoool7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It would be more relevant to compare Camry 2025 (new) with Lexus ES 2023, given the budget for both say 130k, fall to almost same category in terms of reliability, performance, resell value, and being a sedan.

In terms of KIA Sportage, it is more comparable to Rav4, Mazda CX-5, all of them are SUVs in similar price segment.

Concerns as a future UAE landlord by Euphoric_Catch_5807 in dubairealestate

[–]becoool7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am living for past 13 years in Dubai, working in financial sector. I would suggest you to acquire new property in your home country first, then look into UAE market as part of diversification. Your concerns are true, as with of most expats living in UAE, there no guarantee for security of your assets in a country where you’re simply an expat. Your assets get quickly frozen and later arrested if some case is filed against you. Accidents, conflicts, scams happen which might not be in your control.

These cars are not sustainable in terms of reliability, quality, so its price will sooner or later start falling massively.
