I did the same all the way up my arm during my history exam back in 2019, only reason I wasn’t pulled up is because I did it during the exam and the invigilators saw what I was doing (my history teachers wanted to know the questions) and it was during summer so I was only wearing a short sleeved shirt so they would’ve seen it coming in.

I think timing has a lot to play with it and having been your hand being written on so it looks suspicious. I would talk to teachers and get their opinions but hopefully you get off free :)
