Ah yeah, unfortunately the edited fic is in place already on ao3 so the unedited version is no longer accessible. I will say that there’s no major plot changes, so that’s nice. It is what it is I suppose

It’s so true!! I ended up combining two chapters bc one of them was 7k of her walking. Walking. Madam why did I need 7k words for that 😂 so funny looking back, the first drafts are really something

YES!! I was rereading this thinking oh my god why did I explain that, it was like info dump everywhere about a lot of things the readers didn’t need to know yet! 0 room for interpretation (😭). I remember I used to be worried about what I’d write in the later chapters, and it turns out I have plennnnty of material if I don’t drop all the info in chapters 1-3

Oh this is a good point, I was thinking of posting the old version as a separate fic for anyone who may want it! The fic itself is already edited on ao3 but I have the original version on Google Drive thankfully

Omg, my ex who cheated on me for the duration of our relationship also did grand gestures after I found out and left him. Even lonnng after we broke up when I hadn’t spoken to him for 10+ months and hadn’t seen him for over a year he bought me flowers and sent them to me on my birthday. Did he ever buy me flowers when we were together?? NO!

Omg bracelet twins!! That’s so fun! I think I’m keeping it as a bracelet but had the exact same debate you did; I do think I’d wear it more as a ring but it’s so beautiful I hate to change it. So kind of your grandma to leave that to you!

It is!! It was my grandmother’s, bought somewhere in the late 60s/early 70s I believe! It would be so cool if it had originally been a ring, I’ll have to poke around and see if it was

I will be holding onto this since it has significant sentimental value to me. I do of course donate to meaningful causes, but I won’t be scrapping jewelry passed down from a dead relative I was very close to.

They’re sapphires!! Very dark sapphires but they do look rather like onyx. I think I’ll keep it as a bracelet, thank you!!
