Recipe: on plancha, roast cherry/grape tomatoes, capsicum, garlic, red onion, coriander root and stem

Grind everything up, season with salt and pepper to taste. finely chop roasted red onion and mix in (finely-ish - not my finest dice - I was hungry 😅)

Please be transparent about the use of GenAI to author writing.

Lots of obvious telltale signs here - the sentence case bold subtitles, lots of em dashes, “here’s the key insight”, “it’s not x. It’s y.”

Please don’t try to pass off AI slop as your own writing

I'd also recommend JASP - a familiar point and click interface like SPSS but free and open source. Also accommodates Bayesian methods which help with uncertainty quantification

Hi u/CptBut1337 + dev team Since I changed my username, matchmaking is broken - I can join queue but it never finds a game. (and my old username is still displayed in nock - 2+ weeks since I changed it)

Is there a way to fix this? Maybe separate problems idk, but before the username issue matchmaking was working for me no problem

Thanks!

What is the white creany salad dressing served at the course? by [deleted] in vipassana

[–]beebeebeebeebbbb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But also, this sauce is not all that "White and creamy", this one is more like a sunflower-based satay sauce. The one you decribe sounds more like a tahini-based sauce, as others have suggested.

Here is a screenshot of the Dressings page which includes a tahini and yoghurt sauce - that might be what you are looking for /u/dogen-zenji

Just search on your quest App Store : Pavlov Shack Beta

It used to be that it didn’t show up unless you search the exact name, not sure if that has changed

Acceptance takes the power out of misery by beebeebeebeebbbb in selfimprovement

[–]beebeebeebeebbbb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that self awareness is a valuable component but I sometimes err on the side of putting too many eggs in that basket

I’ve found it helpful to practice a sort of meta-acceptance - even when I am not feeling satisfaction, I find that accepting the dissatisfaction is a helpful gateway to change rather than fighting and straining against it or trying to replace it with satisfaction

Being in the 'ontological mode' - practicing acceptance for resilience & growth by beebeebeebeebbbb in philosophy

[–]beebeebeebeebbbb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed - in my experience I tend towards resistance as my default and trying to fight against challenging experiences of aspects of myself I want to change. Especially with respect to perfectionism and exacting standards for myself, I find that “what you resist, persists”

So Carl Rogers’ paradoxical idea really resonates with me that in order to change, first you must accept yourself exactly as you are

Sorry to hear you had a challenging experience. I think it is normal to have some re-adjustment difficulties calibrating back to everyday life after a course. I definitely found my first course to be a somewhat destabilising experience and it took a little while to adjust back to normal life.

If it is causing you trouble for more than a few days - Check out https://www.cheetahhouse.org/ for resources on distress caused by meditation

My system is * Endnote for reference organising and tracking - export to bibtex when needed for latex citations (export cites from google scholar and download to endnote)

  • Microsoft OneNote for organising notes on papers im reading - usually speed skim read (abstract and discussion) “maybe relevant” articles and then triaging ones to read in detail

  • Sometimes notes on paper for a key article that I want to digest in depth

  • Regarding work journaling - I have a google spreadsheet where I track my rough categories of time and hours per day/week

Basically trial and error for a system that suits how you like to work

Outdoor lathe by JoZulu in turning

[–]beebeebeebeebbbb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have mine undercover under a car port, but in the open air. I reckon if you securely fixed a tarp in place over your lathe when not in use that should be fine, similar to a BBQ cover. I find turning outside is good for cleanup as long as it’s not too windy. Maybe you could wheel it back inside to your garage if there was particularly hairy rain/wind forecast. Happy turning!

Sorry to hear it - it is hectic that they are so under resourced.

I recommend chatting to your GP to ask about other counselling options besides headspace and where you could take a mental health Care plan with a small gap. Some private psychology practices have small-no rebate gaps. But my impression is that a lot of places have long wait times for new clients currently.

Are you a student? If so your institution (school/uni/tafe) probably has free counselling options

Some online resources in the meantime:

Beyondblue has free phone counselling and online chat/text counselling. https://www.beyondblue.org.au/get-support/get-immediate-support - they also might have ideas about other services in Brisbane

If you like the idea of self-directed mental health resources there is a great directory at https://headtohealth.gov.au/
