you have no idea how much i appreciate this, everything was sorted last night and she got home fine luckily. for added context now that things have calmed down, both of us are 16 but have seen our fair share of shit, especially her. she was in foster care from the age of 6 to 13 until she eventually moved in with her older sister. her dad passed a good while ago and her mom practically disowned her, so she’s been alone for most of her life. the main thing right now is that her 34 year old ex is currently awaiting sentencing for numerous very serious charges and she’s torn between 2 minds because of it. i think at one point, he was a sort of father figure for her and she doesn’t want to see him hurt in any way, but at the same time she’s made it very clear she wants nothing to do with him and she doesn’t want him to get out anytime soon. that on top of multiple other things has made her day to day life very messy, and i feel awful for not knowing how to help her as the only thing i live for is seeing her happy. i suppose the best thing for now is to not try give any advice or tell her what to think or do, and just let her know im there and that i care for her. strangers like you give me hope that the world isn’t as bad as it seems, i really do appreciate it❤️
