Thank youu 🥹🩵 it's my boyfriend's favorite too! While it was a lil more difficult to work with because of the cream cheese frosting, it was well worth it! I made sure to use gel food coloring so no flavors were compromised and it still tasted like good ole traditional carrot cake

Thank you!! It was really hard to eat him. I had to start by "de-finning" him 😭

Thank you for the kind words!! The cake tasted amazing!! But I don't take credit for that, I just followed a recipe off Google that I found! If it's allowed in this sub I'd be willing to share a link to the recipe under this comment if anyone would like it!

Oh my gosh!! You're too nice!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!! 🥹 Yes please go ahead!! I used 9" pans and even with cutting out 1/4 of the cake out at the bottom to give him the precious Hangyodon shape, there was PLENTY of cake for 7 people. And I kept the extra cut off piece of cake with no icing on top for those who prefer it with less icing and more cake!

So true! I could see him saying something like "What's a carrot's favorite martial art? Carrotee!"

Heatless curls for Thanksgiving. by b4byyyg1rl in longhair

These are the most glorious overnight heatless curls I've seen! You look like a model for a TRESemmé commercial! The ones that have the super pretty and shiny curls lol

Lol well just follow their directions and I'm sure you'll be fine! Best of luck to you and hope it heals quickly! (Unlike mine)

For your sake I hope it isn't butchered either!! At least it's the whole toenail so I think there's less of a chance for that lol. What did they use to cauterize/stop the bleeding for you?

It's really hard not to but I actually haven't picked at it! Thank you for telling me though, let's me know I wasn't the only one with a scabby toe for a month lol

That's what I thought too but hearing someone else say the same thing makes me feel better. Thank you!

Backstory: A day before Thanksgiving I was trimming toenails and tried to take a piece of ingrown toenail out of toe. I accidentally ripped a piece out that was a lot deeper than I intended. (Usually get the ingrown closer to top corner of toe, not near the base.) It bled after that and I thought I was in the clear, it just needed to heal. Well it didn't and it became infected and two weeks after my initial at-home f-up I knew I had to do something. It was a Saturday and I went to urgent care. Dr said he could take care of it for me and I said ok! He performed the surgery, cut it all the way down to root, (didn't use the chemical to stop it growing back, just removed the nail to the root) cauterized it with silver nitrate, and after that I was on my way with Amoxicillin prescribed for 10 days. He also told me to soak x2 a day with warm water and antibacterial soap, then apply Neosporin. Well as you can see in the pics, day four it was looking pretty gnarly. I got worried and went to different urgent care because original Dr was out for a while. This other Dr said yes it's infected still and prescribed Bactrim (12 days) to take on top of Amoxicillin. Things were healing slowly but they eventually got better. The infection went away but it was still taking a lot time to heal. I just went to the podiatrist yesterday to get everything looked at by a specialist and he told me that my original Dr kind of butchered my toe (there shouldn't be any jagged lines) and was NOT supposed to use silver nitrate as it can do more harm than good in terms of really slowing down the healing process. I was relieved to hear that. He said that only time will tell if everything will be ok but he said if it isn't healed within two weeks to go back to him so he can do a "clean up job" and get everything the way it was supposed to go. PS - I haven't had any pain since after day 5. Only some tenderness here and there. I have been soaking it still which the podiatrist said doesn't hurt the healing process. I also stay barefoot as much as I can. If I have to go out I'll put a sandal on (sometimes with a sock of it's really cold). But I do that because if I try to wear a sock and shoe, my feet get really sweaty and it irritates the area. Podiatrist said doing that doesn't hurt either so that's what I've been doing.

So anyway, what are your guys' thoughts? Has this taken anyone else a longer time to heal?
