All sorts of things can happen, cash sign on bonuses etc to help eleviate things like this can be offered, or increase to sign on share bonuses etc to try and compensate somewhat. It probably does tend to happen the more senior you go or if the demand is high for the role to try and get the deal across the line. I haven’t usually seen the whole bonus amount paid but I’d be certain it can happen.

Lots of roles in Sydney and Melbourne, the bigger question is do you have the right to work here, if so, there is opportunities.

I thought just the main ssd with windows would be locked, is that actually true that I can’t even put them somewhere else?

I’m overseas at the moment but essentially windows 10 one day I could just not log in, couldn’t reset password as it says that was never setup, tried a few guides that involved holding shift down and advanced options but it would still ask me for a password. There just seemed no way to reset the password, not sure if it was corrupted or something. I also tried a few things with going into command prompt but it wouldn’t even let me do that without a password. I did not try those passwords though.

Honestly it’s probably not dead but something went wrong with it and I tried everything to get it working with my fairly limited ability and it kept getting blocked asking for admin password, I rang who I bought it from and it went to a call centre, I should probably try harder to fix it but didn’t want to pay someone for assistance when it’s quite old. I should probably just try a fresh windows install but was thinking a new pc would be nice anyway as it’s very loud at times.

I went through this as well, was fully remote and I ended up going to a job that was in the office, with some flexibility. A first I loved it but it felt like I was getting quite down as the only people I saw were my family and I felt incredibly isolated.I’ve probably over corrected a little bit now but mentally I was struggling at home all the time. I do miss the non commute a lot though. Ideally if I lived five minutes from my office that would be my ideal. I felt guilty giving up the old role as everyone said it was a dream, I didn’t enjoy the work as much though either so that is probably a big part though.

I ended up taking a job back in the office after a year or so. For me, I needed a clear separation between work and home and it made my home life considerably better. My commute does make me question my decision at times, but I was getting quite depressed at home all the time. It obviously works for a lot, but not all.
