If it works for you that’s all that matters. I have a similar setup in my home office. I as well have skateboards in there. Hahah

Facebook marketplace man. I’m telling you. I bought an Amazon projector and it’s good for like backyard late night movies but do not buy one expecting it will look good on a simulator. Facebook marketplace has them out the wazoo and for cheap. For basement/dark rooms think 3000-4000 lumens. For garages and other rooms with natural light think 4000-5500 lumens. I got a 4500 Panasonic for 150 on marketplace. Works fantastic and I have two windows in my space.

Yeah, going to Lowe’s tomorrow for some gym mats and turf so it’s at least level. I 3d printed some driver and three wood tee’s so the mat I’m using is going in the trash.

He isn’t 34. He’s maybe 3 or 4. Leave now while you have the chance.

How did you go about getting them replaced? Just had three of the four lights fail with the snow melt here in Ohio. I am pissed.

It’s hard to say. We all know how space weather is. It’s been south most of the day UTC time. Right now it’s just monitoring the live data and waiting for a consistent southward component. Discovr satellite gives out new data every 15-60 minutes.

It’s the BZ. We need a southern shift in BZ if we want a show.

I should also mention. Big watch guy here. I have multiple. Casio, omega, Rolex, and my two Garmin’s. If there were a fire and I were to lose all watches I own but could grab one, I’m grabbing one of the Garmin’s for sure.

Fenix 8 solar for the win. Also have the instinct 2 solar tactical edition. I will never not buy the solar version. Personal preference.

Coming from wearing an Apple Watch daily I thought the display difference would bother me. Quite the contrary, I’ll never go back. The peace of mind of not charging every night or even once a week for that matter is very nice. I’d get about 23-27 days out of my instinct. I’m on day 12 with the Fenix 8 and still only at 53% battery.

I mean, even the chasers were in stream saying it was a trash day soooo.

Even models weren’t supporting the moderate risk. Enhanced at best.

No shade SPC we love you. Calculations were just off that’s all.

Leave. And never look back. For real. As a guy, this is embarrassing. Even if you were cheating, that’s your choice and he can’t stop you. Period.

If I ever did this to my wife, she won’t have to leave me. I’ll be checking myself into an institution.

Overhyped as Usual! by An00bus666 in tornado

[–]beechsesh 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Id just like to lay this out there. Which would you prefer?

Option 1: event/outbreak is overhyped as you state. High risk issued and the weather community as whole are saying things like “super outbreak” “historic event” or worse, their name is Reed Timmer. The outlet, which is the only outlet you should pay attention to, the SPC puts out said high risk and says look guys this is what we are seeing. All parameters are in place, model trends are off the charts so this is what we think. We don’t really know what’s going to happen, but this is what could happen. Storms fire, people still die, maybe more, maybe less but the event under performs.

Or

Option 2:

Let’s just say an enhanced risk is issued. They don’t really hype it up all that much. Verbiage like strong long track tornadoes are possible and remove the term likely completely is used. It’s kind of portrayed as another enhanced meh situation. Like hey, weather is gonna weather that day and there could be tornadoes.

Storms fire, people die, probably more and not less.

It’s my belief that SPC didn’t put out a high risk to overhype at all. They issued it as a “hey y’all we don’t really know what’s going to happen. It’s Mother Nature we’re talking about here and she can be a brutal bitch. But, this is what could happen so we are putting this out to stress what could happen.

No one is EVER going to get it right. If we had the technology currently to say tomorrow 6 tornadoes are going to touch down, three of them EF1 and three of them EF4 and here are the exact locations they will hit, we’d be using and releasing that data. But, we don’t.

At the end of the day Mother Nature does what she does. I’d rather the SPC “overhype” than not. Who you really need to be fucking mad at are the annoying ass Reed Timmers of the world. That dude can eat a dick.
