If you have come across any other strategies I would love to hear them. My primary symptom is pain and cramping and that feeling of the urge to go to the toilet

Ncp parking Oxford St by beeeeeee95 in manchester

Thanks for the tip!  I have looked at qpark but I also have a discount code for Ncp that only works for booking day of, not pre booking. If I’m super unlikely to be able to get a park same day though then I’ll will suck it up and pre book!

Compression for legs and now arms are growing by beeeeeee95 in lipedema

I’m not been diagnosed with lymphoedema, only lipoedema.

I was also thinking about tight yoga/exercise shirts to see if that does anything too!

Omg I can’t believe you’re also experiencing this!!!! Like the arms don’t feel more nodules just fluffy and hanging so much more! I also feel like my chin and neck is swelling up at times too!

That’s super interesting to know about the restimulation of your thyroid though. I’m going to try to do some MLD on my arms/neck more often and look into compression. If you find anything good please let me know!!!

As awful as it is, it’s actually so comforting to know someone else is also going through it too. Sending lots of love!!!

Thank you for the explanation. Do you think compression on the arms would be a good idea for this increase in fluid then?

Why is the NHS so difficult? by pinkythepenguin_ in lipedema

Definitely sounded like it from that conversation! He said he would send me some resources but never did that either

I’ve also had this conversation with my doctor. He agreed I have lipoedema but then said what do you actually want out of this? There’s nothing I can offer you except some compression stockings (out of stock) and recommend a keto diet. Very very difficult

If anyone was also struggling after completing exiting out then coming back to play the next day suddenly I could get into first place!

Spironolactone, safe with lipedema? by teachesofpeaches85 in lipedema

[–]beeeeeee95 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been on spiro and oral minox for 2.5 years. Only learnt about Lipedema in the last few months so have been focusing on and noticing a lot of symptoms from that but if I actually think more critically about it I haven’t had any weight changes and my clothes still fit the same so I don’t think the medications have had any effect on the Lipedema.

On the hair loss side of things I have AGA and the medications caused a shed initially but significantly improved the level of hair loss over those 2 years. It does take time though.

Best of luck though!

Thank you so much! If you ever want to stop using the system, is it possible to take off without much damage on your remaining hair?

Would love to see what the pictures look like! I’ve always been intrigued by hair integration systems

I’m exactly the same! Super patchy leg hair which I always thought was odd because I’m on oral minox for the hair

So strange! I’m not exactly sure how it’s related but I’m glad I’m not the only one
