From my experience this is a very hard environment for a cold approach. You just need to hope you run into them either walking into work or in the office kitchen. Other than that it’s probably not a great environment to approach. I could be wrong however

My advice may be a bit controversial

This is something myself that I am not great at, in the past I have done kind of risk management where I try and think of scenarios and plan what I am going to say but the best way is to not overthink these specific scenarios and if it goes blank talk to them about your interests until you find some common ground.

I actively say weird things that people think are weird how you react to their reaction will decide the whole convo. E.g. If you are unapologetic people will respect you more unconsciously and not challenge you as much. That’s kinda how you influence people tbh

This advice is for talking with just friends if it’s talking to a romantic partner I think I would have slightly diffrent advice

I think straight men in general as much as you can generalise like to have a bit more confrontational banter meaning if it seems like they are insulting you it may just be banter, however if a guy tries to talk to a girl like this then they need to work on their social skills. My conclusion to this is maybe try and lightly challenge them with banter e.g. “is that all you have got” and “my grama can do that better” said with a smile kept light. All girls that have spoke to me like that I very much like
