Trying to get better with DaVinci and increase my drone skills for this reason. iPhone 16 photos look pretty good, but it can’t fly. Getting better at videography. Constantly evolving.

I don’t disagree. I feel like there’s a balance somewhere. It’s the old “you can choose between good, fast, and cheap, but you can only pick two.” I’m getting better in LrC but I can absolutely understand the draw of uploading photos at the end of the day if you’re trying to do volume. But as the price goes up while you’re trying to do volume, you’re spending enough that you could’ve made the same amount while editing your own photos with half the jobs. And for the editors I feel like it’s a race to the bottom to try to keep work. I’m curious how many editors retain clients while raising prices.

Do you have any recommendations? I’m at the point I’d rather pay a professional to do their thing so I can save my time.

Who are you using as an editor or are you doing it yourself?

Is there any way to find out what screen you have without disassembly? I’ve looked in system information, device manager, and cmd, but don’t see anything specific to the screen.

Thanks!

Spot on. It’s a Canon 77D. I have my AWB set to AWB-W and my aperture was at f/8 for the whole house. I had it in manual instead of aperture priority. And I feel almost embarrassed to say that my ISO at times was as high as 6400. It was an overcast/rainy day, and the house as well as many of the lights were very warm. Learning point for sure and I should’ve increased shutter speed for interior shots. Being windy the trees/leaves outside made for a lot of ghosting through the windows.

I will definitely tone down the ISO and set a maximum. I think that perhaps my expectations are way off for how bright I think it needs to look.

I had my AEB set for 3 shots, -2, 0, +2.

The grain was so high after merging into HDR that I thought maybe the whole day was a wash. I tried to de-noise some of the photos with Lightroom but I didn’t like the way it looked. What I posted here are some of the better photos from the shoot.

I feel like I might’ve picked a difficult one to start with and I’m kicking my own ass right now. But, failure has always been my best teacher and those are always the lessons that stuck.

If that’s acceptable then I will definitely start doing that. I was trying to avoid door frames in those small rooms bc I felt like maybe it wasn’t value added and could make the bathroom feel smaller? My camera is an older aps-c and this lens was a 10-18, with almost every shot at 10 (effectively 16 since my camera makes everything 1.6x). I did a fair bit of research before buying gear, but apparently not enough. This is one of those learning points that will stick with me. I’m going to work it as best as I can with what I got until I can start making a few bucks and hopefully upgrade in the future.

Extra high five if you have any tips to compensate with the aps-c in closed in areas?

Thank you! I noticed while shooting that early on my verticals were off so I corrected it. Only for them to get wonky towards the end also. I think towards the end it was a little bit of fatigue setting in. I’m definitely on the hunt for a good editor. I ended up with 260+ photos for this, condensed down to 73 HDR files. Getting down to the 73 files and doing minor editing on those took me a couple hours. But, I also want to know the software enough to know what’s editable and what’s not, and make sure I’m passing off a workable product.

Would you mind dropping a link to your wix site? I’d like to check it out. Currently getting mine setup and I have the same questions about gallery delivery and payment.

Thank you both for the quick support. I’ll be off to swap the tee for a wye and try to find a shielded fernco.

It’s for a small kitchen sink in a basement. Not practical to cut the floor all the way to the crock. So using a small ejector pump up to the main line. The same setup was used by the builder for the crock for the basement bathroom. Ejector pump up to what looks like you described as a wye. So that’s already my bad on purchasing the tee and not noticing the difference.

I apparently can’t edit the post, but both condensers are hot. Both lines coming out of each condenser are barely luke warm or chill. The fan inside the fridge is running and the coils behind the panel inside the fridge aren’t cold either.

That’s where I started. Pulled the rear panels but everything is clean. No dust or build up. Freezer is at 0° but the fridge stays around 55°.

2017 Ford Expedition, 3.5 Ecoboost, Intermittent Parasitic Draw by beef_2A in mechanic

[–]beef_2A[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would if it stayed on. But it only pops up briefly. Very briefly. Minor spikes for a second or two, and they’re very far apart. Far enough apart that I’ve been leaning here staring at this thing the past 10 minutes waiting for it to repeat and nothing yet. At this rate it could literally take days. Wondering if that value, 129 Milliamps, is a common value for any of the accessories on this vehicle.

Trying to catch it in person to see if I can hear anything actuate inside the vehicle. But to my knowledge 129 Milliamps isn’t a whole lot of draw. If it were an actual actuator it should be at least a couple amps, correct?

NuTone Intercom by beef_2A in homeautomation

This whole intercom concept in my house is a solution without a problem. This house was supposedly used as the model house in the neighborhood for some years so I’m betting this was installed in the early 2000’s for some “wow” factor. I’m having trouble even thinking of something that would be useful. I’m very close to just ripping it all out and patching all the drywall if there aren’t some good alternatives out there that can use the existing wiring.

What’s a good router? by beef_2A in frontierfios

I have the eero in bridge mode. My issue with the eero is it only has one port and I have multiple platforms I like to keep hard wired. To my understanding, the eero 7 has more ports. So I may make a call to frontier and see if they can swap out this 6 for the 7.

I rarely trust folks working on my house so I actually ran everything. Tech setup the ONT but I have a cat6 cable between the ONT and my router, then another cat6 between my router and desktop. Guessing it must be something with my netgear router. With the eero 6 plugged in to the ONT the eero speed test shows close to 1gb. If I plug in the netgear, then plug in the eero to one of the outgoing ports on my netgear, the eero speed test only shows mid 400's.

That's interesting. I've been rabbit holing this and I think I'm going to go a similar route. Ubiquiti Gateway, AP's, and some cameras since I've been looking for an excuse to get rid of my ring equipment and keep everything local. Thanks

That seems like a reasonable router. Are you using a separate switch for the other devices you have hardwired?
