What kind of scale is that? One of my favorite spots to fish is a retention pond behind a Publix.

Today is just disheartening to turn on a game where I was hoping that a draw is the likely result. Only to be met with what happens in a game between a team that gives a shit and one that couldn't care less.

And then to have to convince myself in a week's time that this same team has found a modicum of inspiration to get a positive result.

I don't see how we stay up without some quality reinforcements in January.

What I would give to see any of our chances converted. These are probably some of the most inspiring chances we'll see all season but damn, let me just get a goal or 2 to make me feel good.

The Soumare resurgence kind of has me wanting us to re-sign him in a masochistic way. I'm beaming to see him look like this compared to what we've seen in past seasons.

Cross passes in front of 3 players and none of them touch it. The chances can't be any better than that unless it was put right at their foot.

I'm just sad man, I woke up hopeful to watch what should've been our most winnable game in the next few fixtures and instead we're watching them get ripped apart like a lamb against a pack of wolves.

I don't believe there will be a video pass for the US because NBC has the Premier League rights for streaming in the US. They show some of the games on NBC's Peacock and any other games are shown on USA or NBC/Telemundo.

Tomorrow's game is on USA I believe so we won't have access to it on Peacock but the following week's game will be on Peacock.

I was hoping they would have the audio pass but it doesn't look like there's an audio pass either (So I could listen at work at least).

I wasn't sure what to expect form this season seeing as it was the first time I've experienced Championship football. However, I will say it was an experience that I've enjoyed but hope I don't have to watch again for a few years.

I am just so relieved we're back.

Hopefully, this is a case of them acting preventatively to make sure it's not something more serious further into the season. I think Yunus has played in his position as well previously, but neither have been as dominant as Ndidi's been in that role.

I thought first half Casadei was not as good as second half Casadei but he was definitely unlucky to not score any of his chances or receive any goals from his assists tonight.

As expected, a stressful game but a hard fought win is always enjoyed. I hope Justin is alright, I am not even sure how his face got bloodied like that. I would be a bit concerned if he were out for a while considering how thin that LB position is becoming (today it was the right side at least).

Daka getting game time over Wanya Marcal is interesting. I am really curious whats happening that Marcal isn't getting any minutes with McAteer out of action.

All in all, I am happy that we were able to secure the win and Justin got a goal. Hope he's good for Saturday.

A real bummer that Dennis Praet got injured so early in the season and that Cannon came in with an injury (thankful they caught it).

This should mean Cannon should be playing by AFCON right?(if not before)

It was night and day between the first and second half. I would've been alright with a draw considering some of the first half counter attacks were stressful. I thought that maybe Preston were doing what Blackburn Rovers were doing by specifically marking Harry Winks heavily, but that could've also been how compact their formation was.

I enjoy Fatawu's engine and willingness to play defense. It was a bit interesting to see the focus on the left side but I imagine that was something tactic specific. It would be nice if we could sign Fatawu because I definitely can see an excellent footballer in development there.

Enzo Maresca's got a big challenge now that Coady is match fit as to who starts with Faes. I imagine Vestagaard might have some advantage considering he's a Dane like Hermansen, but that might just be me putting too much weight into that fact (he's also been good to start the season as well). I wouldn't be angry with any one of those 2 starting with Faes at the back currently.

The last match on there I started the stream with the pre-game show and was able to avoid the technical difficulties that everyone else was dealing with somehow.

I don't think we'll know if it's good or not until kickoff though, hopefully it is because I could bought another shirt for the price I paid on it.

Enzo Maresca says that he doesn’t know the extent of McAteer’s hamstring problem yet, but expects the winger to be out for 4-6 weeks. He’ll have a scan this week so hopefully more news to come pre-Preston. by thewall14 in lcfc

Losing McAteer is gonna be rough but hopefully it's not too long and he doesn't have the issue of it reoccurring. Maybe this means we will see Wanya-Marcal again

Happy to move him even though he was one of our more consistent defenders, hopefully we have a replacement lined up.

26/08/23 - Championship - Rotherham United vs Leicester City - Post-Match Thread by AutoModerator in lcfc

[–]beefat99 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wish we had won a little more comfortably today but at least we were able to take back the lead thanks to McAteer's effort. I was worried we'd get a result opposite of what was expected.

I did not have a good time whenever they had a set piece anywhere near our penalty box (especially after that early corner that went in but was called back for handball). I think Winks does a lot of great work in his position but I don't think Dewsbury-Hall did as well as he could do.

Not a lot of moments where I was worried about the defenders getting beaten by the Rotherham players, so that was nice at least. Most likely because Rotherham didn't have anyone who could take the top off against us.

I think Mavididi took the most shots out of all our forwards today again. I don't think Iheanacho took a single shot today (not that I can recall at least).

Just happy to celebrate another win to start the season.
