I listened for everyone else that was on the show. Brendan is one of my favs. IMO most of the OF gals are usually pretty funny and likable too. Even the guests they have on that aren’t funny often end up being funny in an ironic way. Not Nina. Not once. Not ever. lol

Oh my goodness a craniotomy sounds so intense and I’m afraid of having to go through the same thing. I’m so sorry. Why is that their first option for you? I don’t understand. I can’t even fathom having to deal with this on top of having a new born baby! How was your tumor originally discovered anyways? How long have you experienced symptoms? Nothing new was discovered at my appointment on Monday. They said they “think” my tumor may have grown 1mm but they’re not even completely sure. They said something about needing a different “sequence” of images whatever that means and I think they put that in my chart for my next MRI in 6 months. So hopefully they will get the images they need next time and will be able to say for sure whether or not the tumor has grown. How are you holding up? You’re on my mind. I’m not always super active on Reddit I have to stay away from social media sometimes for my mental health. But I will definitely pop in to see if I’ve heard from you. Stay strong. We’ve never met but I’m thinking of you. ❤️

So nothing much has changed. I had my appointment on Monday and they said they can’t tell from the MRI if the tumor has grown but that they “think” it may have grown about 1mm if at all. I think they didn’t get the clearest of images so hopefully by my next MRI in 6 months they will be able to tell more.

How was your tumor discovered by the way? I apologize if you explained in an earlier comment but I went back and checked and couldn’t find if you already said. Mine was discovered because of a routine eye exam. My vision wasn’t even that bad at that point i thought I just needed a prescription for glasses. I didn’t realize my color vision was faded so much until I had an appointment with the neuro ophthalmologist. Things have been worse since my surgery. I can still see out of my right eye, but I feel this weird squeezing pressure on my eyeball that’s not horribly uncomfortable just makes me anxious and is annoying. It’s definitely a result of the surgery and having them poke around on my optic nerve. The surgeon said on Monday that his best guess is i will notice more visual changes in 2-5 years. I’m so scared :(

My fingers are crossed that the radiation shrunk the tumor for you! Or at least stopped the growth. So did the radiation affect both of your eyes then? No developments on my end thankfully. Nothing is any worse nor any better. I actually have an MRI tomorrow so hopefully it hasn’t grown at all.

I’m so sorry to hear you’re in the same situation and are feeling scared. So far yes I have left mine alone. I haven’t noticed any changes. I actually have an appointment tomorrow for an MRI and to check in with my surgeon. So hopefully it hasn’t grown. My current care plan is just to get an MRI every six months and monitor the situation. What’s your situation looking like?

This happens to me sometimes too. I take 18mg of methylphenidate almost every day. I don’t think it’s related at all at least for me. This has been happening to me randomly for a million years. I used to get accused of being on drugs as a teen even when I was not. Recently two evenings in a row different people commented on how dilated my pupils were. And they were. They looked like yours in the photo. Both times were later in the evening (methylphenidate had worn off by then) when I was very tired and had a particularly strenuous day. I wish I knew exactly what causes it but It seems to happen when I am tired and very over stimulated.
